nine west

This is Constantine's artlog. He posted his poems in his own artlog forum for several years. He named the forum "Constantinople" and described it as "A byzantine journey through life's labyrinth."

nine west

pumps
flip flops
lifts and flats
don't
look in your eyes
warmth, contact
as they hit the ground

post card from: tush rata (residing somewhere in the caucasus)
she or he says: "excellent distilled psychodrama with a minimalist approach."

thanks tush. where have you been all my life? don't tell me... pillaging the mitannis? take no prisoners and count their severed penises for me! ciao.

another viewer wrote in to say: " hi mister constantine. i've been a fan of yours for around six days now and i think 9 west is right on the money. i've been a fetishist for all my life (don't laugh), and your poem shows a depth of understanding of the pyscho-dynamics of the foot fetish, or any fetish for that matter. i thank you for the non-judgmental and artistic treatment of the behavior. most laugh and make no attempt to understand. anonymously yours."

thanks anon, if i may call you that. we are all the same. entities acting symbolically, unbeknownst to themselves.

...but wait there's more. rita from omaha declaims: " ahh, but there is an ambiguity that permeates the poem line by line - shifting context and meaning as if a maestro was waving his or her baton, orchestrating a prelude of subdued, delicate tension. i used to be a meat packer, but i was so inspired by this small wonder that i've taken up the pen and have given up my whorish ways. saint constantine be mine."

well what can i say rita from omaha? i'm yours if you'll have me.

i'm starting to blush. such kind and heartfelt sentiment - don't deserve it, never did. still, i make this solemn vow: i am responsible to my public; indeed, they have made me what i am today. that was awfully nice of them.
another reader, dukey of toledo junction exhorts: "imho [in my humble opinion ed.] mr. constantine pantazonis carries on his delicate, yet somewhat slumped, shoulders a 3000+ year standard of greek poetic excellence, while the teutons are still foraging for bearded mollusc. notice the jolting, yet somehow, unobtrusive counterpoint embodied by his use of the word "don't." a masterstroke of caesuric intrigue[! ed.]"

dukey, you got me where i live - right in the old tickeroo.

here's a little epistle from mademoiselle vancouvier - as follows:

"i just love nine west. very comfortable and stylish. i own at least 200 pairs."

well smack my ass and call me imelda. west is best.

thanks doreen from virginia. well there you have it folks. another sterling endorsement from another grateful reader. must be doing something right. let's hear what manny muscaria of the northern temperate zone has under his cap : "having had a symbiotic relationship with birch trees all my life (on a mycorrhizal level), i feel eminently qualified to elaborate on nine west's sporadic power and inter-relational contextural flux - you got it and then some dino san!"

high praise indeed. considering your a metabolite, i'd say your opinion is quite refined.
