ice cubes melting
vodka, clear as water
i know what i'm getting into
and where it will end
i like to read the ending first
and then figure out how to get there
the path of least resistance
wherever i hang my hat
an actor that stays in character
i specialize in supporting roles
giving cues and playing off lines
strictly method
that's me
the girl with the method
i attract little men with big cigars
big dreams - fast eddies
and they see in me
what they can't see in themselves
and i see it too
like vodka - like water
seen it all before
don't think i'll see it again

Which movie is that from?

the hustler is the movie i'm drawing from.

I was pretty sure
my reaction to the poem was almost subliminal
I saw the movie almost fifty years ago when it first came out

amazing how you distilled the essence of her character

the hustler? I´ll have both to google it and search for the word in the S & S!! no idea!!!!! but I liked the last lines of the poem!!!!!
