You're a mad mad man, Dino. I think that if I only write one thing today this should be it. Either that or I'm a dollar bill looking for a home. The whole time I was reading "On the Road" I knew I only wanted to be a turtle trying to get across the road and back into the woods on the other side. There is a girl down the road here who stands in her roadside shack selling strawberries. Sure it attracts passerbys that the last thing on their mind is strawberries but they see the shack & the girl and they go "STRAWBERRIES !" and pull in. Then there are those for whom the shack is an actual destination. I mean they pulled out of their driveways and actually go there on purpose. For the strawberries. That's me. The girl selling the fruit makes no judgments these affairs. She has her cell phone. She's hip and I fantasize that in her head there is a street corner where a guy stands next to an open suitcase and plays a saxophone. He plays well and people leave money in his case. At the end of the day he puts the sax in the case with the money and goes home. He never listens to weather reports. He don't interfere with the turtles either but wishes them all the best.

I sat back and enjoyed this.
It was like a race to the fruit, twirled her and then kissed her on each strawberry cheek.
`Do you know, I was so angry, Kitty,' Alice went on...`when I saw all the mischief you had been doing, I was very nearly opening the window, and putting you out into the snow! And you'd have deserved it, you
little mischievous darling!

I think I saw her gettin' into a taxi at the corner of Maple & Highland. She was carrying a package under one arm and a turtle under the other. Her hair was long, her boots were black. She slid her ass onto the seat (o god) a flash of leg (ogod ogod) she spoke an address to the driver that I couldn't hear and as she closed the door I caught a whiff of the sea.
