like when the sun's shards pierce through darkened clouds

This is Constantine's artlog. He posted his poems in his own artlog forum for several years. He named the forum "Constantinople" and described it as "A byzantine journey through life's labyrinth."

at last, they're gone
just you and me binky
told you it would come down to this
but you wouldn't listen
would you?
no,
don't reach for the phone
it's too late for that now.
thaat's right
now that that's settled
it is time to
die
but then it hit me,
like when the sun's shards pierce through darkened clouds,
a revelation -
a touch of grace.
such exhilaration,
i have not known.
i turned,
and shot again
