and what if he could talk
would that be so terrible
would it outrage your sense of reality
perhaps threaten your vaunted
and ballyhooed preeminence
a horse is a horse of course
of course, it is a horse
whether he speaks or not
get off his back
let him breathe - let him
speak his mind
must he be exploited for his talent
put in a circus or freak show
gawked at and mocked
by rubes and rubbernecks
wilbur is a saint of course
of course, he could use force
he could ride him all the way to the bank
line his pockets with brazen shekels
money saved from the stuff of oats
quaker oats - can you believe
the inherent hypocrisy?
he is a horse, that's true
of course
whether he talks or not is inconsequential
and certainly is no affair of mine

Inherent hypocrisy is a given in any & all situations. I believe in it unconditionally.

brought back some memories. mr. ed's voice was the magnet for me... not so much a horse that could talk but more that voice, that hoarse voice that got to me...

another good 'un, dino.

the voice was the hook! they never gave the actor credit. he was exploited by those he served.

Of course I expect the same in return. Image
