morning fare

This is Constantine's artlog. He posted his poems in his own artlog forum for several years. He named the forum "Constantinople" and described it as "A byzantine journey through life's labyrinth."

morning fare

gave up heroin
now i just do coffee
i cook it up, and
draw it into the syringe
but the blood
mingles with the columbian
and i can't tell if i'm on
but i shoot it anyway
and hope for the best

i gave up coffee
now i just do haiku
i do it raw
pick it fresh
remove the seeds
gobble them down
i sprout ku
shower
then repeat
