in his cell every night

This is Constantine's artlog. He posted his poems in his own artlog forum for several years. He named the forum "Constantinople" and described it as "A byzantine journey through life's labyrinth."

in his cell every night

Post by constantine » February 7th, 2010, 1:48 pm

i see the world in silhouette
in silent animation,
don't have to hear you
to know you're there
i want to be in your arms
to feel your lips, your thighs
talk to me, again
sing to me, scold me
i lie between the sheets
i type and i type and i type
things would be different
today i am a better man, stronger
than i was before, i see things clearer
my failings, my weaknesses
of which there are many
the walls are thick, cold
bars that never rust

Yes I awake a better man
weaker because I see more clearly now
"resist not evil"
"sleeping with the devil"
I want my pajamagram

I liked the title
I don't read much erotic poetry
But I liked the title
ah shame on the monks

please pardon stone ramble
you know I don't see the healing
but sometimes women see things men can't
and vice the verse.

I used to go to a song writer's night in Nashville Music City USA, people come from all over the world to be stars of theOpry. I remember the night I was at a song writer's night and a guy named Ziltch Fletcher sang his song called "what would you do if all the holes in your body healed up."

stoned

never really thought of it as erotic - much less as healing, but what is one to do? i just write the mess! the title is from an old greek song. don't know the words, but the feeling - as i felt it - i tried to convey.

sorry constantine.
I am too stoned to have a conversation with.
I will read it again when I am in my right mind.
whenever that will me.
hopefully before I die or even when

I am stronger because I am weaker
What I see clearly now is how little I can do about anything
except for maybe this scribbling of mine
this strip tease
this archeology of my soul

I can't explain that
something about fate
and a feeling of powerlessness

I will read the poem a couple more times when I am not stoned.
Everything seems erotic to me when I am stoned.
