the poet is a liar

This is Constantine's artlog. He posted his poems in his own artlog forum for several years. He named the forum "Constantinople" and described it as "A byzantine journey through life's labyrinth."

the poet is a liar

Post by constantine » July 1st, 2010, 2:28 pm

the poet is a liar
the moon is a dead rock
my lover's eyes,
two gelatinous masses
spinning, this way and that

there is poetry in this pebble
you too, have meaning and purpose
it used to be part of something bigger
a little chip off an old block
perhaps, a fragment of god
or a pocketful of elements,
compressed, crystallized
into the form you see before you

i prefer to think of it as a pebble

This absolutely wowed me, mr. I mean it, I was floored.
Very, very beautiful! I liked to keep it in a pocket.
`Do you know, I was so angry, Kitty,' Alice went on...`when I saw all the mischief you had been doing, I was very nearly opening the window, and putting you out into the snow! And you'd have deserved it, you
little mischievous darling!
