an idea whose time has come

This is Constantine's artlog. He posted his poems in his own artlog forum for several years. He named the forum "Constantinople" and described it as "A byzantine journey through life's labyrinth."

an idea whose time has come

Post by constantine » April 1st, 2011, 6:50 am

mishima had the right idea
don't linger, don't wait around
for the big decline
the inevitable crash
that nips and bites at the heels of prosperity
cash in the chips - finalize!
while at the top of your game
don't go the way of the romans
and disintegrate under
the infectious pressure
of barbarian incursions
one day expanding, and flexing
your muscle, like a circus strongman
then contracting, like an accordion on the exhale
mishima had the right idea
you can determine your destiny only by ending it

mishima died of too much life
it bothered him &
he finally got rid of it
he rode his blue horse
out into the rain because
he certainly wasn't
no john lennon

Thx for posting this Dino. Don't know why it got me to thinking like this as the snowstorm they predicted yesterday fooled them by becoming rain.
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.
