vague meanderings

This is Constantine's artlog. He posted his poems in his own artlog forum for several years. He named the forum "Constantinople" and described it as "A byzantine journey through life's labyrinth."

vague meanderings

Post by constantine » May 29th, 2011, 3:18 pm

don't ask me who they are
call them the instrumentality,
yeah, that'll do it
the ones behind the curtain
the great and all-knowing oz
keeper of the truth
what is truth you ask?
I would venture to say that truth
is that which is being concealed
but why is it being concealed?
because it isn't the truth
next question please
are you tired of waking up?
are your dreams more satisfying than reality?
are your nightmares a distillation
a curious amalgram -
a secret message to yourself,
a rubic's cube of anxieties
whose infinite configurations
seek only to confuse
confound and perplex,
until you wake up sweat drenched and goofy
willing to settle for anything
that resembles home sweet home
where mommy and daddy love you
in all the ways they never did?
all I can say studio audience
and to all you little people out there
in that place we like to refer to as...
(don't ask for the name of the place,
even though the visualization
might lend a certain crystallization,
an anchor upon which vague meanderings
can be rendered into a more satisfying
form of poetic expression)
which may be true, if
that which is being considered was a poem as such
then indeed, you would be correct
then indeed, you would truly be satisfied

I am satisfied.
Thank you mr. u, liked that bay window.
`Do you know, I was so angry, Kitty,' Alice went on...`when I saw all the mischief you had been doing, I was very nearly opening the window, and putting you out into the snow! And you'd have deserved it, you
little mischievous darling!

i've meandered over a couple of vagues and thrown the crows to the biscuits in my time and had the trees look like they were waving to me assuming i was asleep but poems never sleep so i just waved back and was correct. in the face of the overwhelming some men do one thing and other men do other things. A woman kneels and folds clothes from a pile on the floor. Some of those clothes are mine.

Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.
