Joy of a Toy

This is Constantine's artlog. He posted his poems in his own artlog forum for several years. He named the forum "Constantinople" and described it as "A byzantine journey through life's labyrinth."

Joy of a Toy

Post by constantine » January 24th, 2013, 9:15 am

My little pony
For me and my broneys
We love to comb her plastic hair
Give her a flip, yes
That would be hip
Coiffed up higher than the air
My pony and me
Are buddies you see
DON'T TOUCH HER!
She only has eyes for me
Just for me-ee-eee
My little pony
Is riding on rainbows
Lost in the frolic of a summer day
Baby blue saddle
She whinnies and rattles
Plastic bits in her torso shake
I dress her up in silky things
And lavish her with unguents
And potpourri
And hot burning wax
And baby oil to make her shimmy and shine
Then, I put her in the harness
And bind her tighter than shit
And she respects me - or better
Or I'll tie her even tighter
It's for her own good
Cause a little pony must learn discipline
To make her way in this rotten world

I got one a dem things. I used to ride too. 'Til the day we came up against a pack of Shang-Py-Poo's - Shang-Py-Poos are freak critters. They size you up in a FLASH & if they get the notion they can take you, well, a machine gun wouldn't be too much.

I didn't have a machine gun. Neither did my pony. Only option was run

Which we did.

Since then i always carry a machine gun.
My pony carries two.

Machine guns are heavy. Takes a bunch of fun outta it. We still ride once so often.
But it's not like the old days.
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.
