If I don't ride/exercise today
today will surely be the day I die
pumped up on steroids and yellow jacket venom

am I getting weaker or are they getting stronger
never got a reaction like this before
oh well no pain no gain they say
so I exploit it
… we sum it up in the term 'gain from illness'… But there are other motives, that lie still deeper, for holding on to being ill…

they run me out of the north forty- the other day with my pants down around my ankles- ouch = and then the healing- and now it would seem- that that was all a dream-
wake up hot= i see a thousand television commercials in my mind selling me something i will never buy-
even if i could- i wouldnt- i am a 'want it now for my $ girl'

there are still people on the couches- and the ceremony blues have set in- where humans seem like a sad distressing example of a gene pool altered by wars and scientific experiements- and a few decades of confusion- food in a box-disposable razors and people- in a world where value is determined by constant movement- and an insatiable need to consume-
the dreamtime says the dream s over- or what that john lennon- imagine--------it is sunday- the zen buddist place has a ten o clock meditation thing- and groovy food afterwards-maybe the singing bowls will speak to me
maybe i am deaf and wont hear it
one hand clapping and all that
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

what to say :?: 8)
that was a great text box creative soul
maybe I am autistic and I don't get it
but I am tune deaf and tone deaf too I think
even so I like to listen to you jam

you jam like a man
meant to be high praise the way I once heard a red neck hillbilly musician in Virginia say that about Bonnie Raitt
"she plays like a man."

man why don't you GO sometimes
that would be something
run with the big dogs
wireman and mingo
they do my heavy lifting :?
they make it so easy for me I guess that's what I mean :|

I can bounce/riff off their word bops all day and all night :D

roger dodge over and out
I been sitting too much
which is why I better get off my ass and ride my bike
steroids and diabetes is gasoline and booze.

alsoI whacked on sleepy time Benadryl™
and I would not want to drive a car
and somehow I think riding a bike is more dangerous
or am I just lazy and making excuses
mystery of marvelous action poetry
or call it a jam
oh I saw a wreck on the highway
but I didn't hear nobody pray
luke the drifter
one day when I get my shit together I am going to write a homage to all
the chicas of studio eight my far away cyber sisters who help keep me grounded to my roots.
wheel centered
rolling free
come to think
it is all about women
and their children
that's the problem with kittens they say
they grow up to be people

Don't get me wrong- I still want ya to visit here too - what ya say, Doll? You can handle it!

her hair was gorgeous
but i am raw rust here
the girls of the garden
dress up & chant
but some of the shadows still scream
and are placed in bitter beds
with their blood unasked & delirious -
they have been judged of over needing the moon
& it works against them

the rain came flowing down
her feet were wet
her thing
glasses were fogging up
once or twice
they thought about how they got here
but really
they just kept walking
raindrops falling on the wetness of every
portion of the soul
letting that in
those blessings

they seemed determined
like soft saxophone music the little leaves of fall came in spirals around the river
they smile
they keep moving

"her name was only money"

I wept to see her go

when I saw Melissa

I saw Jesus in disguise

Melissa rode with any man that offered her a ride
they never stopped to wonder at the heart ache in her eyes

Melissa's life is movin
never knowin where she's bound
searching in the hearts of others
for a love she's never found
“Where is that man who has forgotten words that I may have a word with him?”

smile and keep moving - you bet
hell got a lifetime of that right there
all my rough edges rounded off
down to the stone core these days
down to that inner child again
the one who waited patiently
as first adolescence
then adulthood
then maturity
then old age
took the stage in passing
waited patiently as all the interruptions
had their day in the sun -

but their time is almost done
and the kid is leaning against a tree
and says to me, with a stalk of grass in his mouth
"what kept ya?" as if nothing at all
a whole life's worth of worry & labor - meant not much at all
"So what ya wanna do now?" he says,
"ya wanna go down to the river
and make stone piles?"
Yeah I answer, yeah I do - lets go

Which intelligent lap will you jump into?

I have a two-faced sword that faces the past & future simultaneously - i'm shopping a ceremony for my interface?

Abandoned beyond the school? Mechanical device versus digital? A combo, maybe?

pretend a cloud. the farmers have moved on - the forest re-invades

Kitchy-coo.

I lean back

trying to bring my self up to
the point where
fingers touch skin
mining nuggets - / not trying to make a sing
but
listening to the one already there -

one of my sons, another wheelman, by wheelman I mean cyclist - i just like the word wheelman better and that's what happens to you when you get on a bike because it's just not you any longer from that point on - you become a wheelman - he said on a bike going thru town say you come upon people & events things happening & you're a part of it but you're not because you are in motion - passing thru -

so i've been thinking about that notion - i like it -

just heard the train on the other side of the ridge blowing it's coming & goin

8)
the gray has returned- yesterday it was so sunny- like honey glistening in the light= room mate has to get up so early for no reason-
why do people get up so early when they do not have to go to work-??????????
i want things- when i came back from kauai- i didnt want stuff- but this mainland thing has me wanting things-
been wanting a new couch and a smoking chair- leather- cuz we get muddy frenz= after lodges- rain- mudd- it is all ahead- ice- snow- and my mind clings to the water- and the sun-

Wild horse have taken me out to pasture- I'm slow and winter is coming in- trees are changing colors- everywhere there is green- got my hands on some loppers and made a tunnel thru the trees-wintertime there will be a creek down there- I can hear it whispering to me now-
Woman gave me two Japanese maples- with red bark- I want to put them in the ground - but this quiet lol docile girl shows up - and she just wants to watch tv- had to quit a while back- pay attention to what is really important- like the light - and the sense that something is going to sleep- ah the bears- there - and berries- juice rolling. Down that majestic chest-maybe I'll go to the zoo today- visit the animals- I like to smuggle in bees pollen for the Asian bears- they have interesting hands- claws-
Then there are the herons just over at Prescott beach- where my dog " mister" and I play stick- and that ole Columbia river- stands watching- mt St. Helens looms in the distance-having blown her stack- over one too many one may afternoon- she sprayed ashes all over the world- tradewinds. Spread it all over..winds carried it-kind of spooky up there sometimes- great garage sales- imagine that. Foreclosure s- etc- money? Mountain. Helen is in charge of that-" she who watches" is over here too- by the gorge- pele- so many mountains and powerful gods and goddesses are intertwined with mountains or islands- mermaids of the sea-inside the great wild fires of these elements - a dream is unfolding-

i like the play of light this time of year too in this latitude - it touches everything - gaps in the forest canopy now and light gets in there - sometimes just enough to light up three maple leaves on the side of a tree and make them shine out - when i'm out bike riding too there are gaps now where you can see into the forest like a secret - autumn brings you to the notion of a moving thing - a great moving thing we are all in like no other season does - the changes are cumulative and swift day by day - the best chants are in the autumn - the best visits - the best cider - i love this season as no other - I was born at midsummer but when i die my choice for that would be in the autumn with the leaves falling and the light full of tricks
