the enduring being of being
boing, boing, mr boing boing
i speak in sounds because
there aint on words big enough
to break on thru the other side
where the reflection of drama
turns into an act of comedy
as laughter becomes my only
cure as the dis-eased body of old
comes in outta the cold, chillin'
my willie as it lays low hiding
from the phantoms of eros
shoot them arrows shoot em strait
open the windows and unlock the gate
no more of the hatred embrace the love
flyin' to the phone lines there perched a dove
white winged and cool it aint no fool
but a teacher preachin natures golden rule
stay tuned to nature it won't do you wrong
only put an anchor making sure you belong...

hum-a rye-uh... hum a rye-uh... pass it thru

I saw that flick some time back and also found it an interesting docu... funny to see how the so-called "hippie movement" went global and still is alive in strange areas where dropping out is a given.

('Hippie" was at first a media word to name these "long-haired, pot smoking, freedom loving people" ... a word that was never used by those who were the early settlers in the Haight Ashbury district of SF. They even had a funeral "Death of the Hippie" in Golden Gate Park. Many bailed from the City and headed, literally, for the hills... Northern Calif, northern New Mexico, into the hills of Tennessee... wherever they could "be" and do their thing without interference from "the straights"... some of the tags for those I used were "freaks" or "pilgrims" and the most popular around my peeps was "heads"... It took a long while to finally give in an accept that 'goofy' word "hippie"... haha! Over 40 yrs later and the word is still viable in describing that era and those values. Hail the Hippie!

Years ago I used the phrase when reminiscing about the late 60's and after, "Back when the Hippies ruled!" Yeah, a joke... but when your life revolved around so many on the same path you get the feeling that's all there is... :)

Cool video -

i think peoples vision of it is skewered if u were'nt there, i was lucky to move to palo alto area in 68 and find my young self at a be in there....when i got back to DC in 70 everybody was sportin long hair and bell bottoms.....but the real hippies i saw in the 60's were more like hobos, they were minimalist survivors.....

There ain't money enough on Wall Street to pay me to live in Buffalo Yew Nork - four feet of snow in less than 24 hrs with another two feet on the way yeah right and ya got people that live there all their lives and never move away even if they can - I can't help it - whenever I hear anyone exclaim on the possibilities and potentialities of mankind I just end up laughing because that kind of talk always makes me think of people living in Buffalo, Yew Nork who never move away -

The Ancients knew more about us than we do about them.
Barry Beck - I think, wasn't clear from what I read if this was his or he was quoting someone else - I half forget how much of a relic I am rapidly becoming - sometimes I would like to re-establish circulation but the amount of bother it would all be and for what disinclines me to be anally concerned in that direction - when handed any kind of key these days I'm likely to let the damn thing lay & walk away - dare I mouth the old saw and exclaim been down that road and what is found there ain't worth a man's time - that is should any man be blessed with the concept of the worth of personal time - I'm beginning to think history is only useful as a barometer of sorts concerning a grand overview of spiritual currents and that only applied lightly with a generous degree of humor -

everybody has their own tale that includes the myth of fingerprints but should you listen to it all you might wish to be elsewhere waiting on a friend or shocking your own monkey down on the levee with moist remains from above straight out of bodacious darkness with a side of fast knowledge & a hot cup of envious masochism -

WARNING ! ** RANT **

Chess match going on at this moment for the world championship title - I've been following it -the current champion is playing the ex-champion whose title he took from him last time they played - I expect fireworks from these things but I don't know why because it don't happen very often - these are the creme de la creme of the chess world - the highest ranking chess players on the planet - and what happens? draw draw draw - game after fucking game - I understand playing carefully but ... I'D LIKE TO SEE JUST ONE PLAYER TRANSCEND THE SITUATION JUST ONCE & GO FOR BLOOD GUTS & GLORY & PLAY LIKE A WARRIOR INSTEAD OF A MERE MAN WIN OR LOSE TO THE WIRE ALL THE MARBLES ALL IN YA SON-OF-A- BITCH LIVE OR DIE ON YOUR FEET YA WORTHLESS PUSSIES -

whew - glad I got that off my tits -

mingo out

the day the president died he had a map to his old kindergarten in his back pocket -

now he drives around in an old luxury convertible - a ghost without a town

his wife is a ghost too - she was always stylish & hot - probably still is if any of us could see her out there walking around in ghost land

man ya had me googling the mouseketeers - there was one on there I liked above others and her name wasn't Annette - google let me know things about how her life went afterwards - wasn't good - knowledge is a two-edged sword - emphasis on the word sword - slice & slice -

- things & situations twist some people and mold others - we are resilient but also prone to hardening -

- glassified -
