ace the day
paced to the last ray
of sunlight
the subway obeys every thought of the god of the underworld whose briefcase outweighs his suitcase and never decays with amazement & always it pays to stray so we are living here where the women are running the snowplows after the storms have passed -

i'm an enthusiast don't ya know - anyways, metaphrasing can be done no matter the landmass - if in doubt burst into blaze yesterday & tomorrow dive into the interface because there is no other choice is how it seems to me along the old canal you can still see where the constant rubbing of the tow ropes cut deep into the stones -

dead television sitting in the snow - no more reception of signal for you - ya died & got replaced - a dog walks by you without a glance your way - no pill for what ails you - plain maidens quake the earth for the sake of latent males who simply fossil as afterimage of initial glory at the beginning of all things -

ok

sometimes all anyone is called upon to do - or can do - is listen - many mysteries get put to rest that way & many secrets are revealed - talk seems to be the thing these days - i've heard it said that we talk to keep the most frightening of silences at bay - sure, this makes a certain sense to me but with all the talk come all the excuses - you get so that you know everyone's excuses & your own by heart - to me listening has surprisingly provided many delights before unknown to me - these days listening has made eyes of my ears - through contemporary digital magic & means i can reach back to when the dead were alive - to many human beings who had not only mastered his or her art but who also made it their own -

anyone remember Julie London ? listening to her this evening much time passed that i was unaware of - and i didn't miss it

Ah, the framing of a moment of silence - building houses for ghosts - ghosts are always shackled to place so it's easy to build houses for them - as for spirits they don't need houses but we always insist -

- you can only turn the private experience of consciousness into a private language -

snow blowing
storm growing
putting all my milk
into panther bottles
spanish guitar in the background
next click is february
winter blast vibrations
just takes me way back
away from snow
it is so winter-in-january out there today
snow - wind - cold whooweee
i'm stuck in here
with my dog
my propane heater
youtube -
watching chess in the park videos
from all over the world
i used to love playing chess in the parks
all over the place
all that psychological trash talking
never cared for chess club atmosphere
all quiet & decorum
fuck that
i want to be where how good i am
or how bad i am under pressure
bring it, meek -
hell yeah mongolia !
if i lived in a big city
i'd ride my bike everyday down to the park
where i'd know all the regulars by name
and i would sit down
to play me some hell-up-&-gone chess
nobody plays chess in the parks around here
not summer
not winter - i miss it bad
now i'm gonna refresh my coffee cup
and watch some of that cornbread vs.nick
let winter rage on

13.5 degrees east of Eden in the land of Nod - every priest is in his church -
the scene is weeping - the frogs are sleeping - only the fiends are awake
trees bare and sticking straight up with snow on one side waiting for the wind to come & clean them off - i look around - i wonder if anyone feels better thinking it's all a dream - all i know is there are roads in the waking world so there will be roads in the dreaming one

cool how she did it vertically and let the drips fall down the canvas.....i always worked with the canvas flat on table or floor trying to control that, like pollock....moving around the piece from above....there is magic in her creation....

i tried working on the floor but my back gets to barking after awhile and messes with me - can only work that way for short stretches - one of the things i liked about working the floor is you can get things to puddle up - get height with the paint - that was fun -

many a night i spent under the paints spell.....images emerge like magic when u surrender to the flow....ill probably never use the enamels again, they flowed like magic, and the spray paints were amazing.....off today, too much wind for cranes....getting ready to start some collages (maybe today?) my main medium 30 years ago.....there was a time when i decided to go with the wire and not fragment myself....but why?.....life is change and if ur around long enuff the circle will turn 8)

i hear ya on working with paint - love that shit - ain't done anything in awhile - my paint room is upstairs - no heat up there - digital paint programs took me by storm but missing the messing around with real paint & canvas - loved messing with spray paint too - got some wild shit going that with waving the rattlecan around - did a lot of work that way using different items to block the spray - got off on all that happened that way - have to work outside on the porch with the spraycans - the porch is open, no more than a cement pad with a roof over it - 13 degrees above zero out there right now - 20 degrees below zero with the windchill - puts a definite damper on anything in that direction at the moment - eskimo weather - dogsleds & igloos - global warming or not the ice ages ain't over - they're just at a remove a few steps beyond the horizon - a drop of a few degrees is all that separates humanity from hunting mammoths & painting the walls of caves - 8)
