conjuring the beast
maybe 30,000 years
back the bears drew
but obviously it was
a man, or perhaps
a woman did cave
drawin thang, beneath
torch lit ecstacy.....

ok sure the corpse floor
forks before reaching
the shore what glad news crawls
gnawed to short
the dogs come to swarm the bones
carry off pieces to flaunt
the yawn comes walking
it's brain a whore
military action creates lawnkeepers
the moths swirling round the lights
the bats right there with them
to people the songs stored up
from before anything was born
i'm trying to keep it about 70 degrees in here
it's beginning to snow
the winter remembers it's own lines
to a fault
there i was as a child - kerouac was in the land then
but i didn't know it -
there i was
on my knees in the bathroom
praying with a transistor radio jammed against the sink drain pipe
searching - hoping - longing to catch
if even for a holy moment
the signal - the pulse - the fading in & out
of the new music i heard about
there i was on my knees in the bathroom
drain pipe antenna idol altar
praying praying praying
please please please God grant my petition
i don't want the singers/musicians/writers
i just want to hear the song
just the song
just the song
just the song

(thx for the pic - picasso was right when he said after altamira it all was decadence)

heavenly bliss
with a touch
of ancient genius
picture not signed
for glory but created
to conjure the wild
to conjure the come
on baby light my fire
like in the daze when
we stayed up all night
just to hear that
amazing song

On The Road - Jack kerouac

i got a bit of stir going on - nothing for it now but to let it pass would be the best thing - think i'll try that

My notebooks record the fate of each patch, a changing census of the tiny moss community.
Gathering Moss - Robin Wall Kimmerer

mindbuggling stuff - i couldn't be more faucet barbecue chicken fascist earthquake - it's like remembering too much far from the sea - spent half or more of a life swinging from my genitals - probably more / and ice is more likely it seems - i've got told over & over my biggest problem is a penchant for spending too much time fooling with shit - well, it's an artform too - & that i don't have enough respect - well, that's an artform too if done as it's lived out - if whales had not had to breathe they wouldn't have died by harpoon all these centuries - so it's the depths of january 15 degrees at high noon - no Gary Cooper in sight and no whales either - remember slate blackboards? i loved doodling on those things -
got yelled at all the time - yelling is also an artform so is being yelled AT - i'm the tarzan of the genital jungle plus i make things outta driftwood & plastic flotsam & beads & cardboard & ya know, shit that's just lying around - i don't understand it either but it sure is fun like kissing, skipping stones, & throwing two day old pizza out on the snow for the crows o my sweet georgia peach & piper mint freebie of the banshee refugee fleeing the trees for the upright walking jazz moment in the comet lands linking buffalo and goofing the smileys mysteriously adverbed sideways by ghost telegram o my pedigree & it's true if consciousness is posited all else follows the yellow brick road to green green cities the brakes on the garbage trucks make this sound that i think is close to what wooly mammoths made heard from a second floor window that's open to the ice ages formed to take care of everybody -

PS - never stuff a totally white landscape into your underwear because the earth hums and there is such a thing as too much excitement

"What gloom, what gloom", I said. "It's absolutely great."
On The Road - Jack Kerouac

9 degrees below zero - wtf - pipes froze up and i don't give a shit who the president is or what evil lurks in the hearts of men - thank God for furnaces & the propane to fire them - i question the legality of any temperature below freezing - 11:56 p.m. -
