I got the rabbit dance this morning. If you drive at all you know what I'm talking about. Before dawn & I'm headed out to my sister's with her battery charger in the trunk. At the edge of my headlights a rabbit makes this beautiful diagonal cut across the road. Didn't swerve to the left or right not even a hair but he gets to the far edge of the road & stops doubles back starts doing zigzags circles hops. I thought to my self I'm not touching the wheel or the brakes it's all up to you bunnybunny live or die what's it gonna be? The rabbit lived. Rabbit DNA is not right, ya know? Not when it comes to roads and automobiles at least.

I got the rabbit dance before dawn this morning. The rabbit lived. Of course all that comes with absolutely no guarantee. After all, tomorrow is another day.

Imagination is the politics of dreams: imagination turns every word into a bottle rocket.

The Lone Ranger & Tonto Fist Fight in Heaven
Sherman Alexie

Too many crows to put anything up today & too much running the roads. The leaves are falling are over the place up here. All over everyone's lawn. All over the roofs. All over the roads. Everywhere I went today fallen leaves & in my passings I left tornados in my wake down every road. I thought my business was somewhere up ahead but it was really in the rearrangement of scatter as I passed & in my rearview mirror was where the real action was.

Hypercatatonic Plunder - Hang all out!

Think of two snakes eating each other. The first one that gets to burp & then lick its lips wins. This is the world as we have it handed to us. There is no further ape.

It was the apple that ate Eve or think of in the beginning as a banana sitting in a tree peeling & eating a monkey.

so you're an animal on the wall
you're an angel & I won't forget your trains
or your breasts like they were the fruit of us both

they are still out there
and what touched them & made them together
is out there too

that's why I walk there sometimes_________________

We are the milk goblins

mt, size is 599 x 499. Pixels that is. I ain't touched a canvas in six months. I almost feel guilty 'bout that (almost). It's just that this paint prog fascinates me with possibilities & gobbles time as if no tomorrow exists. Many of the colors you see in most of the pieces I've posted here are not direct applications but come from combinations of different functions not even remotely related to color but inherent in the program. & things react differently in different situations. I'd possibly be dangerous if I knew what I was doing. It's just that if you discover an effect you'd like to use again it's impossible because you have already invoked 62 spirits and punched 107 keys to get to the discovery in the first place & even though the prog keeps track of the functions you have applied who wants to play by the numbers on that scale? No fun in that. For me anyways. You punch up the prog & there is that blank box looking at you & the toolbar next to it...waiting...for you. I literally get lost in it. There are moments here & there where I know what I'm about followed by stretches of pure unadulterated panic where I flail about like a suddenly blinded man. But I like it. I have discovered in the last few days that you can take the same approach to this as the action painters do. You know, just GO! I have a piece called "Wolf" that was made in this manner & which I'll post for ya as soon as I finish running my mouth at ya and after I respond to judih's post that follows yours. Which reminds me, is there any way I can stop the spool of your paintings on your site & pick and choose any of them at a bigger size so that I can study individual works at my own speed? I'm at a duh! moment with that.
Thx, mt. And thx as always for looking.

judih - I'm glad you liked it judi. Thank you for that "rippling lush image" comment. I'm not going to tell you this but it made me blush.
