off the cuff - into the text box - fallen leaves, first frost ...making my way across this space
(exterior events, interior dialogue) come to a river, look for a bridge - cutting wood, chainsaw poetry, wood piling up - cutting my own & making arrangements with the Amish for more -
May, sun rises to my left - November, sun rises to my right, the arc of the seasons -
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

Freedom of Zuihitsu....beyond all borders, which was once a dynamite book store, now no more....back in Frederick.........walking and talking, praying my health holds up.....nuff said....love this free idiom in which to write....all over the place & concentrated all at once...jumping from thought to thought with ease...clouds out the high windows.....a small plane floats by.....clouds rolling by silver & grey......a low hum in the library now 3:45 pm. Sitting in silent majesty........smiling 8)
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....

I've found it a freeing form myself - still exploring it but having fun - first frost last night - hear you're back in Fredrock - almost midnight here, nothing but dark beyond the windows ...

Even now I forget that here I'm not supposed to hamper myself or step on myself on my way to the door - The Doors, Jimmy knocking himself out in the Soft Parade, what a set, in the desert driving that damn Mustang he didn't give two shits about on his way to Texas Radio and me the same year singing "Shaman's Blues" as I shortcut crossed moonlit fields to rendezvous with a girl whose Daddy had hit the beaches of Normandy and would have made me a grave if he ever found out -

I am not careful about pissing things off. People ask what is poetry I answer :plastic fish with big plastic eyes staring at me from a shelf over the toilet -

This time of year constant need for heat by burning some kind of fuel -

{ make a bunch of coffee
find the lost bowl in the cupboard
crossing the living room
singing in the dark } - 6:09 a.m. - 36 degrees

... short thinking, seems everybody's liable to short thinking these days - miniature golfers ya know - if my little 20# propane tank goes BOOM for any reason while I'm trying to keep the place warm nothing else will matter much.

Any adjustments I have to make are both minute & majestic.
Caption: Coping, post-garden.
or:
Anything vs the distribution of noiseless jello -

I love cleavage, anything else gets tedious but cleavage makes both understanding & knowledge useless in favor of the bloom of passing moments.

Quick! lets everyone swim to the curb before a tax is levied on every balloon !

I remember, during a dark passage, of flying dragon kites over the prairies at the edge of Omaha.

Put that last on my tombstone. Thank you.
