Is this the January thaw? Come early I'd say.

The new year is one hour and 8 minutes old. Nothing has changed as far as I can see. The stars are still in the sky. Got to be a lesson in there somewhere.

Yesterday a man said to me "Here, let me explain my process."

My process. I began to wonder about my own process. Do I even have a process? I never really thought about it. Process. I usually think in terms of obsessions, not process. I mean sometimes I obsess about opening lines because opening lines are important.

i.e. -
1. The sky is grey & white.
vs.
Guns in the hands of children. Welcome to the human race.

see? yeah.

Maybe obsession is my process?

!WoW!

Writing - Gravity does not affect electric charge. Distance is like a photograph.
Repulsive electrons make hollow structures. Gravity is center directed.

My Name

my name is man reading newspaper
and the street corner where he stands
my name is his hat
my name is his shoes
my name is the money in his pocket
my name is the sidewalk beneath his feet
my name is the church he went to as a kid
my name is the grave he will be put into
my name is the wind passing over that grave
bending the grass
that grows there

I got this homemade poem factory in the woods by the river. Just a shack behind the trailer affair. Nothing fancy. Almost non-digital. I hook memories to the present moment out there.

It's specialist work, real snake-eye shit. You got to nail them tight or they will blow up in your face. Only real assholes can do this kind of thing.
Artists need not apply, first thing I learned.

You have to be a real scavenger. Hunter-gatherer. Tower of Babble activity. One of these things gets away from you and you will have your hands full - you never know if they will handle the load. No way to test them first you know what I mean. Shooting free-hand. Working in a dream world. Working in the dark.

Can't get any closer than that. Still, you never know.
