Went to bed early last night so now I'm up early - the days go on and I'm strapped to the mast of them - that sounds bad don't it ? Sometimes feel like a corner car lot when it comes to my moods, ya know cars in cars out. Some days feel like the landscape is loosening from my body. So much for words. This old age thing has some weird unexpected angles. Like things falling off. Beginning to be more involved with what is coming and less concerned with all the hoopla of the world - a (growing) ? awareness? for what is to come - almost like an eagerness maybe. I have become quite used to seeing things move out of the corner of my eye. I like expressions with good bone. I like little plastic boats first given expression in wood and bone and animal skin out of native minds living in cold cold lands. Ya know the exquisite genius involved in the creation of woman makes me to know that God is more awesome than my ability to imagine.

A few years ago, I'd not known I'd have the capacities I have now.
Must be I'm aging, too.

On AA I was asking "What is love..."
Now I'm attempting to define it personally and wrap words around it. I didn't know I'd expand vocabulary, nor gain more appreciation for being in public situations, facing fears.

The years have not been too bad with us, mingo.
You're looking good in your age. :P

Went down on the river today. Was going to launch into the lake but breakers onshore gave me to think better of that notion so I went down to the river. She didn't cut me any slack either once I was out on her. The current was up and contrary for the Big Girl. Should have brought Rita but I thought I was going to do a little beachcombing along the lake shore and decided to take the Bear because she can hold much more with less hassle. I got into the current on the river and it was just a fight from the gitgo. The dam must have been releasing upriver - I was only out about an hour and I headed for shore. Big Girl is the same size as a full-fledged sea kayak but she is classed as a recreational kayak which means she is several inches wider than a true sea kayak even though she is as long as one.
She was meant for much less confused and MUCH slower current than I took her into. Had a couple of anxious moments there and a pucker or two and if she had gone over it would have been my idiocy and not her limitations that would have been laid at my door. I certainly feel my age at the moment even if blushing at your comment. 8)

Got rain in the dark out there this morning - it's beautiful weather for a frog.

Mornin' Doll.

lol! muck, muck.
Yes, I agree the frogs will be amazed.
Things are back to order here, the kids are home.
I'm not to have to be so much alone with myself.
Heavy dreaming last nights, but no recollection of them yet.
How's you?

I've slept on rocks - but only the flat ones. I took some rounder rocks once of all shapes and sizes and arranged them around me and slept within them like that on bare ground with the stones touching me all around. Stone and I knew of each other before that but after that is when we became friends.

Been thinking about the monkey rope in Moby Dick, being tied together over a whale body floating, bobbing and being shark bait. If you're going down then I'm going down too is stuck in my head.
Being on the whale is like sailing.

I posted to you last night and it's not here - I'm getting dangerous to myself... but today it's raining ok ... being roped to a whale would be a cold beach a dream I had last night was like being roped to a whale there were strangers goin' thru my house like they lived there while I was having a conversation with a super tall guy who was trying to make a point I told everyone to get the fuck out then everything got swirly & sped up I had to wake up to get out and my toes were o girl cold.

Rain this morning -
looked out the window to see leaves plastered flat to the black wet asphalt
I know it's a metaphor to itself like the most of the rest of us
Everything is a given & drifting in the river subject to current
I've paddled with it
against it
across it
so I know what I'm talking about
and the river knows what
it's talkin' about too

He's fifteen feet tall.

Souvien-toi! Remember!

Il pleuvait.
Nous nous sommes vus le brouillard.
Je était dans la chandail. Avril.
Nous étaient chez guerre.

It was raining.
We saw each other in the fog.
I was in a sweater. April.
We were at war.

Mais, nous nous sommes aimés.
But, we loved each other.

For catfish, he doesn't want loved by me.
