I prolly should post up some pics. They were really sweet about posing for me when I had the camera out.
Dreamt of music last night. We built this radio and by using a card in it (like a credit card instead of a CD--swipe), we were able to go back in time and grab radio performances on old waves. It felt genius. Listening to the 70s.
The best part was the outdoor scenery that we drove into as the music started to play on our little invention.

Yoo got all these cool dreams for company. I did a little tracking on this one. It's got some deeper roots to it but a light air. I found longing and smiles at the end of the trail.
I took a piece of masonite out on the porch to do some preliminaries on it for painting but man o man there is so much stuff on the porch that has gathered all year and I really need to do something disappearing to it all.
Problem is I already pay taxes for the roadside service which will not take these items i have, and to take it to the dump - o excuse me, it's a "transfer station" these days, they will charge me for a sticker about 90 buckskins last I heard to leave it there. If I did something like that the gov't would call it "double dipping" and fine me for it. In the movie Casablanca Rick complains to Ugarti about his cigarette shipments being a tad light and without batting an eye Ugarti replies to him, "Carrying charges, my boy, carrying charges" . Having been one myself I do not bow to pirates. So that leaves me a porch full of stuff. I've thought about throwing it all together in some kind of sculpture but have lacked ambition. Today it occurred to me it may be time for the ol' hatchet job solution. Bust it all up and slip it into a non-see-through garbage bag and put it out by the road for the boys. Painting can lead to edgy & dangerous attitudes which, of course, I happen to love.
Ever see the movie "Fried Green Tomatoes" ? yeah, that.

A statue! Yes, if ya get the ambition...that would be a way to go.
I've seen Fried Green Tomatoes, but it's been awhile. Gonna watch it this weekend and catch the glimpses. Julia Roberts is one of my favorite actresses, her and Drew Barrymore.

P.S. The perfect place to go on a date for me is...the woods and hiking, where there is hidden art, like crazy sculptures and little wood, rock, etc. natural all put together into a wonder. When walking the trail and stumbling upon the unexpected pieces. I get such a thrill.

I know just what you're talkin' 'bout, Doll. This weekend was out on a walk in the woods. Was following an old stone wall and I came to a place where the wall had tumbled a bit or been torn apart by some hunter lookin' for his rabbit. Probably some years ago for all the stones were covered with moss & lichens. And in all the crevices between them were filled with newly fallen leaves. The sun was coming through the canopy broken up into slanting rays to light it all. And I just came to it and was stopped in my tracks by the sight and I just stood there and stood there. Looking & looking. Spellbound. I like to leave creations of my own in the woods sometimes with the things I find there. Like finding a raccoon skull all white and circling it with pine cones and stones. That shit can look pretty fine on a bed of pine needles. Fuck yeah, Mongolia! :~)) So you have a fine fine shiny day, Doll.
The sun is shining it's ass off outside here and the wind is movin' the leaves around and releasing them from the trees and it's making that whistling sound as it comes in through the window screen and I am out out out of here.

When casually and aimlessly wandering through forests, be very, very careful rabbit, for you might stumble upon some daffy doll such as me.

What will you do with yourself today mingo?
It's another rainy day with sunshine.
I hope you'll be enjoying it.

I have a piece of masonite that I made the first marks on earlier in the week. I think I'm gonna go wander there some. The day here is overcast with rain, damp & cool. Opened my eyes way too early this morning - it will leave me worn at work. What will you do with yourself today mingo?
That's happened a lot lately - short sleep that is. It's not doing me any favors.
Another thing happening at the moment is I get fragments of word things...whole little herds of them at times. They don't seem to be connected to anything - I mean like whole things. It's like some strange migration through my mind. Things like / the endless box of creation / ... and that's one of the tamer ones.
It's my autumn is what it is. No more thin t-shirts I think. Wild things on the move.
I think I have abandoned meaning for the lands beyond the frontiers.
The 21st century is a spear in the hands of paleolithic man. Farming is the root and cause of civilization. But I get back in there before the farmers discovered themselves.
Ya know?
Back when we paid as much or more attention to our ears & noses as today we do to our eyes.
My fingers stroke electronic alphabets, scatter them around the globe. Send them straight to your eyes because the eyes are the scouts of the heart.
The past is the future.
I read once that there is evidence that man had fire about half a million years before the first evidence of cooking shows up. Is it possible that Man sat there out in the dark staring into the hypnotic dance of the flames night after night for half a million years because that sight reached out to his imagination, held his spirit or perhaps sent it wandering?
Puts new emphasis on the story of God first approaching Moses in the form of a burning bush.
Tiger Tiger burning bright ...

The painting I'm doing - I had the name first. It's like that sometimes, the name shows up first and then I am left to discover what it means.

The name of this one is, "the Girl who dreams of the Tree that Grows on the Hill in her Throat"
Yeah...I know.

So what you going to get up to today?
So, what are going to get up to today ?

This. You just got me awake. What a fantastic idea you're presenting. It's like I get to eat tonight. You know you can cook. mmmI read once that there is evidence that man had fire about half a million years before the first evidence of cooking shows up. Back to your sleep patterns lately.
I've been with a chest cold, taking DayQuil and it's had an effect on my sleep and dreams. Mostly, I can describe it as 'wet' dreams, but not like you'd likely expect. It's like the wet forest floor with thick bed of leaves, moss, mud and all from being rained. I wake up feeling as if I was in this thick, heavy rained atmosphere or fog. Yes. Not a bad thing, just heavy. Hard to wake up out of, it's stretch, stretch...more that.
Not saying to dose the dayquil, but just mentioning things can perform in sleep.

Sleep well my friend.
me
P.S. Yes.

Can't wait to see it.The name of this one is, "the Girl who dreams of the Tree that Grows on the Hill in her Throat"

Don't hold your breath over the painting. I've just now got the bed of it prepared, making the space sacred. This one is bigger than I've done before, 2 and a half feet wide and four feet long. There are things already begun to whisper in the title
and I know there is more still under that ... gonna be autumn voices, lots & lots.
Am happy with your interest over it.

Drugs n dreams......I was once issued a strange thing called effexor....bad horror films in my dreams with murder and mayhem...and I am usually cast as the axe murderer...
I am driving on a country road at night 2 deers a buck and a doe jump out in front of me...I miss the buck but hit the doe...get out of my truck ...the doe is dead..over my shoulder I see the buck charging me head down coming in for the kill...I grab one of his antlers and mount him like a rodeo bronc...he tosses and twists... I hold on...somehow a large hunting knife in a sheath appears strapped to my thigh..grabbing it with my right hand I reach around slitting his throat so deeply I decapitate him...I hold up his head draining his life blood from his neck...Turn his head around - facing me....I am now staring at my Father's head with antlers...end of dream...

The getting too dark to see can have a thing or two to do with what we're going to sleep on. Thanks u, mingo and artguy.
Here's some treats. I likes.
I'm pretty sure I was there. I think so, maybe one.
