Kurt - I hit the track on your dream just to see what might be going on there being there are no coincidences anywhere...first thing your dream does is reveal to you where you are and what time it is - a country road at night - a wilderness to be exact, all around you, no other human beings in sight, just you - and what are you doing ? Driving. Going from one place to another. A journey. Not walking, not running, but in a vehicle. Not just any vehicle either, but a truck, a vehicle designed specifically to carry not just passengers but bigger loads. Cargo. And cargo is what you are given to carry out of there. Heavy duty cargo. The wilderness on either side of the road you are on would have been completely understood by the prehistoric cave painters, for they understood the power of the animals. You are a painter and your wilderness is a paleolithic one, your dream has chosen well its setting. So ... lets look at the action. Two messengers, male & female, in animal form come to greet you (paleolithic, remember, only the best will do for a painter) " a buck and a doe jump out in front of me ", on purpose too. It was never meant that you could avoid them. You "hit the doe" killing her. Your dream is showing you something here. For the doe the instrument of death was not your hands, which never touched her - her death was at a remove from you. Her death was not at your hands but because of your presence. She lets you know you are in a place of spirit - really in it. The reason she dies is to bring you to a halt & get you out of your vehicle. Out of your usual head. You get out of your truck because of her. Her death exposes you to the buck - the animal with weapons - Your doe has been extraordinarily kind to you. You might honor her death and her kindness by thanking her now. The buck has his part to play too, he has something to show you or, I should say, it is now up to him to lead you toward a certain realization. It is this realization, this message, that is so important and the whole point of your dream. The business of dreams is not to guide but to bring or raise awareness. Always always always - awareness. Outside of awareness lies only the dark - blind dark. So what happens now? ... " over my shoulder I see the buck charging me head down coming in for the kill..." - he's not coming in for the kill, Kurt, but to open you up, hence the antlers. He's on business. And on point. And killing you is the farthest thing from his mind. Rather, he wants you to breathe deep ... What do you do next ? " I grab one of his antlers and mount him like a rodeo bronc..." Going for the ride are we? At this moment you show yourself that you have accepted everything by reaching out to touch, to lay hold of the realization offered you & the buck now has you where you need to be. To prove that to you "he tosses & twists" and what do you do ? "I hold on" ... and now everything is ready and you have come down to it, this is the trip, the best part, that you'll really like - to quote Jim Morrison. Creative people have the very best dreams, for a tracker there is nothing so rich, believe me. Everything in your dream has led you to what happens in the very next moment ( you aren't still thinking this is about your father's face, are you? ) ... and... " somehow a large hunting knife in a sheath appears strapped to my thigh "
Can you say BINGO ? This knife is what your dream set out to show you, or, dare I say it?, bring you face to face with. Not just any knife either, this one, but a specific kind of knife, the knife of a hunter, complete with sheath no less. Here you are in a paleolithic wilderness, a hunter on the hunt who carries an instrument of wonder capable of separating even a father from his face. With this you are capable of providing food for your stomach and meat for your mind and sustenance for your imagination. It seems you might even slay a buddha or two while you are at it. One last thing worth mentioning is where the knife first appears. Not in your hand. Not on your hip. But "strapped to my thigh". Closest to the generative organs.

I'd say it is a good day to hunt, brother.

:P
I'm just going about it relaxed. Gave the boy the puter for the a.m and I was reading Tom Sawyer and Becky Thatcher meeting up. :P

Free on the kindle, in case you wanted. I popped in a few highlights. I noticed that I never seem drawn to highlight the same things everyone else was highlighting. Like the church seen with the poodle dog and the beetle. Oh man! I was cracking up and had to highlight it, noticed no one else had, which I found odd. Why not?

Thank you for these morning musings for me to stay with. I'm happy. Gonna go buy food. Money has not been an option, but today I can have fun buying foods. My favorite thing to do almost. ppp

Good bad or nightmares, I love my dreams. They are cheap entertainment. Freud called them the unconscious artist at work. But still I don't do SSRI anti depressants any more. I have too many issues with rage and suicide. But you know one man's meat is another man's pill, or something like that. I have often wondered how the hell a doctor can prescribe a drug for depression whose known side effects are suicidal thoughts and Effexor rage, roll over Hippocrates.

Your dream reminded me of Oedipus for some reason. The rising of the sons in patricide is a recurring theme in western mythology. Not sure about eastern mythology.

Pardon the interuption, I dreamt about a sailboat the other night. The best dream I have had in months. If I ever do away with myself I hope it will be with a sailboat.

I hope you'll not, but naturally have the sailboat would be best put.
Harvest Moon festival, on my death bed there, was my time to go through the pain of loss of all. Each being an importance on a stair of a ladder. Was crazy to not have anything left but the bare soul. Soul still being thought, only it was the pure thought, minus what's worldly.

Stay.

I don't see the reason why most drugs come with a label these days saying May cause suicidal thoughts. I mean is this some sort of dark control to crowd control? Take two anxiety pills and call the doctor in the morning if you attempt suicide in the night. It's so creepy and real deal, too. I know two people who suffered thoughts after medicating.
One is only a child.

Doll - Whew! been busy around your place here the last couple of days. I watched your clip of Tom and Becky. Thx for the info on the book. I bought one the other day on Kindle because it was $.99 and I just need lighter fare for balance. It's called Mill River Recluse and it's proving out to be a shiny read. Am enjoying. Got rainy damp slightly chilled up beginning of October here. Hope it's more shiny for you. Missing you. And, oh yeah, I was going over some of our posts from the recents and caught at the end of one of them your "Yes" followed by the smiley. Just wanted you to know I did see that. 8)
Get with ya a bit later, Doll, got some running around to do.
