I'm mostly snow tonight. There is even snow on my keyboard.
You can see my fingerprints like tracks in it on the keys I have tapped. Paul Simon said something about the myth of fingerprints.

I think Paul Simon is a myth.

...and he takes fake pills for non-existent ills ... I don't think the dinosaurs went extinct - I think they got tired and laid down to sleep and never got up again.

and Becky said to T. Sawyer when she caught him at covert play, " OMG!, you're not even stopping!"

Mark Twain is a myth too.

O Wild Mississippi ...

But I don't want him to be a myth. :P
Can't I just pretend he's real and go from there, make it so I don't remember it was myth? A direction.
I like Tom and Becky. It takes guts to be two kids who build together in the crazy dark. I mean both could have decided to fall asleep, but there was something to hold onto, more better than the sleep.

Had a dream about confronting a bear last night. I wasn't scared of it. I held it's mouth shut and told my daughter that now was her opportunity to run. Held it's mouth and tried to think up what I could do next. Then I found a lot of mustard, I decided to pour mustard on the bear's eyes and blind it ,momentarily, then to continue with the mustard theme, I made the bear open it's large mouth, I poured the mustard into it's throat, I filled it up as much as I could fill a bear.
It felt great not to be needing anything other than a thing like mustard.

I had a mare of nights last night - then i tried to wake up and the dream was holding me down by the neck from behind - that was enough for awhile - so, then there's your sweet self and your bear ... your dream comes to you and brings a bear - you stood face to face with it - bears always bring and speak to power ... and what's the action? - you reach out as if it were nothing at all and hold the bear's mouth shut and tell your dream daughter to run. Just a note here, I have more than a hunch your dream daughter is your future self and that at some point yet ahead you will have cause to remember this dream. Then you think up what to do next - there is something to remember here - you don't panic, you don't think down or sideways - you think "up", I agree with your dream here, if you must think the only direction to go is up. Then what? You get creative with - mustard ! Your dreaming self cracked me up here and displays the same play power your waking self does.
So now there are several things happening - there is a multi-cluster of communication going on from your dreaming self to you. Your dream has come to make you aware and it now does a first-class job of it. First thing you are not overwhelmed by the situation, 2nd, you find what you need to deal right from where you are, 3rd, "I decided" - events are not in control, you are. You blind the bear then you exhibit domination over the animal - "I made the bear open it's large mouth" Then you filled the bear up.

That's hot, Doll.

And the end result ? " It felt great not to be needing anything other than a thing like mustard." Remember that.

Thanks u, mingo.
You might be right that I've a pattern of violent dreams. Hmm, not sure why,
maybees job related.

Dreamt about a current situation that I'm in the process of processing. :P
They put a rather large doll on my lap. She was dressed in a purple satin dress with a cardboard underneath the fabric to make it stiff. Then they cut the dress down to make it into a desired shape. It looked very interesting to see the beautiful fabric and then also the cardboard with it's brown color and black stamped letters/numbers, as cardboard usually has. Especially the folds with the two layers, neat to look at.
It made me laugh.

Then I was dressed to match the doll in a purple satin dress.

She stood oddly against my chest, she was stiff (as dolls are) with her legs having no bend at the knees and no bends at her elbows.

They poured a wine on the doll, then poured the wine across my lap.
It soaked through and made my gown see-through down my legs and then the wine continued to absorb on the fabric, climbing up to my lap and making that dress fabric see-through too.

I decided the wine might continue to grow in absorption, I thought I should perhaps stop the antics for the doll and I, but found my arms pinned by the abusers, held in a hold that was too difficult to pull out from. I felt as the doll, clasped into a set of hands.

At the back of my head a pair of teeth sunk down, and the whoever began to gnaw at my skull. I started to reach to my past observations to find the way out of the situation. I remember searching through prior examples, what situation could match and provide the way out of the muss
and it was an important moment, then I woke up.
.......

Second dream to do with the same sense of problem solving was about a fairy-tale play.

I was an actress along with other play-actors. The scene was a very large mansion, many rooms, a lot of famous decor, Victorian, Victorian clothing, dresses and hair styles...

We were at a scene the bosses wanted to have an actress drink a potion that would change her into a villain. They struggled to jog up a way in order to have her drink without her knowing it. The scene was stuck in a boring motion, because the actresses and actors were not led onto a new interesting act. It needed change, but those in position to lead were failing to do the right push in order for it to get exciting.

We kept returning the actress to the potion bottles, but she never saw importance in the objects, therefore never knew to drink them.

I decided to pick it up.
I handed the bottle to the actress and said drink. She did drink it and shared it with another actor. The scene finally changed and two new villains were created for the following scene.

The higher ups hadn't planned for two new villains, but at that point all just happened naturally and needed no directing anyway.
It was a success.

Do you know who held your neck?
Going back to that, wondering if it was violent, too?

No I don't. I know it was a child but it had been infused with something else like some other folks in the dream. I could see whatever it was taking over people but I could not explain it and when I tried to warn folks no one would listen to me. There was much urgency on my part to get across and then anxiety because no one would listen and I knew it was growing and spreading. I knew it would change everyone into something that was not themselves but that everyone would look the same as they always had on the outside. It was apocalyptic to say the least and terrorizing. The child creature had gotten behind me with it's hands around my neck and was squeezing hard. It was then I began to fight to rise to wakefulness and I did so moaning loudly according to Nancy. In the dream I was screaming. The dream lacked anything in the way of a personal feeling - these kind of dreams are always like that. The child looked much like the Pod people in the movie "The Dark Crystal" when the life was being sucked out of them. Whatever was happening I could spot it but could not name it or communicate the danger to those not yet infected. A doosie.

So, the dreams you related to me are too complex for me to tackle this evening and I may only give a go on one of them tomorrow. I'll have to see.

One thing I can tell you about your first dream is that you and the doll in your lap are twins.

I really love the dark crystal. A favorite, used to give me the creeps when I was young, but it was my sister's favorite and she wanted to watch it pretty often.

So you don't think it was a dream image of you type dream then?
An end of the world type dream instead, like visionary?

Oh! mingo, you don't have to put efforts into predicting my dreams unless you're wanting to or up to it. I just share them to be able to share me with you. Our talks and gabs. See me?...is what I'm saying. :P

I like when you interpret cause then it shows me you. ppp

Thx for letting me off the hook so to speak on the dreams - today was fuller than I was looking for and I didn't get enough sleep last night. And thx for explaining about it - usually if someone tells me a dream I feel obligated in a way to track - or at least to sniff around the edges & see if I can pick up a scent that I can follow ... & thx for this - "I just share them to be able to share me with you. Our talks and gabs. See me?...is what I'm saying. :P

Ran trail on your doll-in-my-lap dream.

This is ... quite the dream.

Consider these items from your dream -
You use the term "they" three times to describe the initiators of all action here
a large doll is put into your lap (closest to your womb)
she is dressed in purple (royal color)
then you are dressed to match - you didn't dress yourself, you were dressed by "they"
doll was stiff - ability to use hands or legs severely hampered because they could not bend
at this point you become her protector
"They" poured wine on the doll then on you, across your lap - you both have now been consecrated - set apart from common use - the wine was poured across your lap, again close to the womb.
the wine makes your clothes, your royal clothes, transparent - revelations are set loose

Now, for the first time you consider independent action - "I thought I should perhaps stop the antics for both the doll & I" - first for the doll since you are her protector - but a revelation is in store for you
two, actually -

"but found my arms pinned..." now you discover your ability to act is disallowed and you also discover the dominating & sadistic nature of "they" and you now name them "abusers"

Now you feel as the doll, clasped into a set of hands - but those hands are not the hands of your "abusers" - they are the hands of a champion, a hero, a warrior, a savior has come because you cannot save yourself or the doll even though you have tried.

And what does your savior do? He acts as only a savior can - he takes you into his hands,
hands from which nothing and no one can snatch you out of and ... he wakes you up - from death to life.

You are exactly right when you said "it was an important moment"
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

You make it look easy, but that's not. I keep trying to look at the dreams and interpret them, breaking down the sections and suches, but mine is not as wonderful as your interpretations are.

Yours are like an art.

Holmes? Conan Doyle's Holmes? Thx for your gracious words on the dreams. thank yourself for being so creative in their creation. Dreams are just information -data and your brain could give it to you in a list but no, what happens? It is cast as a story, a situation, an event. And the dreamer is not only the author of the dream but also the stage it is cast upon and the audience who watches. It's amazing what goes around. 8)
