I was going to come here and write some something about auditioning for the part of some highly attractive female figure
figuring on snatching you up good and up!

But, now I don't want to.

and it needs some auditions to get it featured
and made into a radio tune to play on some 5 o'clock's shadow with chrome and zoom zoom pink paint
or something nice like that.

Then I must have finally given over onto sleep by thinking about getting up and writing you a poem, because I figured out what poem you wanted from, so I'll write it today.

Notes During Conversation with a Catfish

He lifted the brush
and touched the red paint with a golden tip
to the points of the outside window.

She was a house.

The fish came.
The fish went.

The bridge was there,
then she walked over the bridge.

There was a bench at the water's edge
but nobody sat at it.

She jotted a note in her mind
that is where to leave Cat, on a bench, in a garden
and with music always playing.

It looks so beautiful there.

It's like a smooth but heavy rock in the sand
and someone rakes around it.

I think about pattern,
I could make a curve around the rock,
a bend, a fork.

I could pile a rock on top a rock on top a rock.

When the white petals fall onto black rocks,
there is water all around that they may get out into in.

The gnarled tree that stands only as tall as my hand.

When one says, "Tree.", people think tree and tall and this one is only
as big as my hand, no one is thinking of it.

The Lucky Hitch

It was a hilarious Saturday
(a bit flirty in the day)
and I was out on the motorcycle
just cruising the scene
looking at the prettiest ladies
like they say, living the dream

that's when I saw her.
She had a thumb out, cocky brow
and a paper sign that said Hollywood
in giant sharpied block letter.

Well, if I'd had my canon digital,
I'd of asked her for a pose,

but instead I pulled on over
and told her she looked something
right out of the blues and it goes.

At first I thought she was frightened
than I thought she'd flirt, but imagine my dismay
when the doll strutted around majestic
in her pluck darted skirt.

What a lay I couldn't picture happening.
What a lay I did not need.

I was about ready to throw my own thumb out there
and get the hell out of dodge,

"Do you want to go to Hollywood, ya dumb bug?"
I found myself replying,
but she just looked sad, whiny and no fun for me,
I was miserable, just from the moment's company

only then I stalled, because I caught a twinkle
a deep dark forgotten

and that was something to me

(to the tune of The scenic route with my gal)

Part Two:

One minute she seemed to know me,
I felt quite exposed,
it was like she looked inside me
and so the story goes.

"I'm broken hearted." chimed the lady
"Aren't we all?" is what I said.

Which is when I told her,
"You're not gonna talk on this ride,
otherwise just stay pretty tight right there."

We had a mad relationship
out on the roads,
she kept her mouth quiet
and steered me on the curves

her appetite was humongous
and I'd make her pay for her own,
but I liked when she smiled over crackers
and laughed over the mushrooms and roasts.

We talked about the gypsies,
the carnival and it's clowns,
the poets, the artists and the performance
of the hottest stars on the stage.
