This one - I know this does not look it but these stones are beneath water. I was close to shore, true, but the shot, again because of the way light and water and the mind too, interact with one another it looks like these stones are actually above water. Not true. I swear! Like I said, I'm learning. I like these little guys all grouped together like a family beneath the water anyway in the midst of the mountains all around them so I kept it for ya. The stick floating by threw itself in for ya free. 8)

This last is not an underwater shot but a moment caught in pixels. What you see here is a fig newton fest. We gaggle all up together for a break and the fig newtons and the ritz peanut butter crackers and the raisins get passed around and so does the bullshit while the paddles are out of the water. Dead center is my neighbor "Ol' Town Mad Wayne" to my right in the yellow boat though you cannot see him is my youngest son, Jesse. I say youngest but he will be 30 next month. To my right is Nancy representing the female sex on this expedition and I'm in the center but all you can see is my beloved sunrise boat "Rita". When Nancy is mad at me I just go sleep with Rita. Men! Such bastards! 8)

Ok Doll, that's all for now. Last weekend is history now. Hope ya liked the underwater shots I tried for. And I'm gonna keep my eyes open whenever we are out and I'll get better at them. Hope ya got some sense of the experience from the pics. Yeah, that. 'Nite, Doll.

Yes, I got my back wet that day. HaHa!
I'm looking good sailing.
School's not out until the week's out here mingo. Still trucking along,
then get a mini break before summer school gets a going.
These were a great waker upper for me.
What I likes about boats is knowing their names.
One of the things anyways.
I wanna name a boat some day.
That'd be living life good.

Naming a boat is one of the cool things about having one. A bit of ceremony attends to it. I don't break a bottle against them or anything like that. I do touch them though when I do it. I have to have a boat a bit 'for their name comes to me. When I knew that my boat was a Rita I painted my hand with black paint and with the paint still wet I pressed it against her bow and said her name for the first time, whispered it while the wind moved around us. God gave us one of his powers when he made us - the power to name things. And whatever we call something that's what it is. That handprint is visible in some of the shots I sent you. You mark something when you name it. Even if you only number something it's still a name. It is an act of spirit. Like Annie B. Naming something that comes to you is the greatest thing you can do. It's the best of respect and the deepest of loves.
If you ever get a boat say, you'll see, Annie B, you'll see. What am I talking about? hell you've a car you've named! I just get off in my head sometimes. Since I named Rita she has shown me things I otherwise would not have seen and taken me to secret places I otherwise would never have known. And more. To name something is a sexual act, the essence of it. An acceptance, and an acknowledgment of a fact as it becomes known to you. To say yes to a revelation. To distinguish something as itself apart from other things. Rita takes me into herself and holds me and I take her up rivers and across lakes and deep into the woods and wilderness and we arrive together always and come back the same way. When you name something the two become one flesh. Yeah, I'm out there - that. 8)

Just home from work, Miss Yes 8) Tired, I think the weekend has caught up with me. Not much to say for myself tonight. I bet you're sleeping with maybe a dream or two. I'm headed that way myself. 'Nite, Doll.

It's raining. Just wanted to leave a little something here for ya when ya get home from work. It's raining & raining. Not complaining, we've had a good stretch without rain and if it had rained last weekend those days would not have been what they were. The things I had to do today though will have to be put off.
Catch you later, Doll.

Rain, rain, go away
we got it in a scary form last night.
The lightening still worries me, especially when it's right over top.

And then I get the spook it all happened cause I was reading the Moby Dick book.

Just see me sitting here looking at these pics until I'm there.
I loved the shadow over the water making shore.
Thank you, u.

I'm so sorry I haven't been in much conversation.
I guess it makes sense to cram everything into one week.
Doesn't make much sense to me, but it does to someone.
Almost into a vacation. I'll fall down from exhaustion first night, then I'll bees better by the next. :P

I'm gonna just press my hand on that boat too.

It's ok 'bout the conversation. Sometimes I can talk my ass off. Other times I ain't got much to say. Most times I wish I had kept my mouth shut anyway. There is a rhythm I'm used to between us, sometimes the words are just flyin' & other times they lay quiet. I like it as it goes. Ya can press your hand on the boat anytime. 'Nite, Doll.

I just made a big taco salad for my first day of vacation.
I feel wonderful.
Been dreaming about my first boat and if it'll be a 'he' or 'she',
then wondering if I'll paint on him/her, too.

Taco salad ? Tease ! I don't know if I've ever got with a taco salad. I love tacos though. So you're serious about getting a boat ? Wow. My feeling is you will mark it somehow. You'll have to wait and see if your boat is a he or a she. it might be lightning, ya know. 8) let me know what you decide on, there is 'bout a zillion makes and models out there. You got any questions about kayaks just ask.
Ok, Doll, got to get some sleep. Workin' on Vera tomorrow. Her front-end needs some attention and it will be a circus for sure. Jess is coming over and Ol' Town Mad Wayne is supposed to be in on the action too. Yup, circus. We might hit some local water on Sunday. 'Nite, Annie B.

Wow. That's just what I was doing this morning. Going back over some of your posts but I was so busy to get all the river pictures in there I lost some things in there as we got all crowded up on the flow. Yeah had a birthday in there. 8)
