What if everyone shared water instead of all of us carrying it and some trying to steal it from others?
(sharing water: a metaphor introduced in the Robert A. Heinlein novel Stranger in a Strange Land[ca. 1961], meaning, in simplest terms, to make love, but having connotations of a far deeper commingling of spirit.

Too bad the borrowed video on you tube expired...
My take on it is that, soon, if we're not careful,
there"ll be: "Water, water everywhere, nor any drop to drink,
Water, water everywhere and all the boards did shrink..."
--From Coleridge's "Rime of the Ancient Mariner".

Folks, it is time to build more de-salinization plants and filter
out saltwater like they do at Gitmo. It's really feasible for coastside
cities and towns and could be common if we'd just build more of them.
I did some articles for, now defunct, BOG-GOB magazine which called
water "Blue Gold"... Canada has the most water available as a country.
