Looks like the coronavirus or covid-19 pandemic has delayed quite a few primaries. Many are being held the first week of June.

Many places, including Chattanooga, are shut down. Court cases are delayed, jury duty has been cancelled, bars and libraries are closed, and restaurants are only open for take out. Heck, many physical therapy , hair stylist and barbershops are closed. I have postponed my physical therapy until, at least, the end of April.

Many people are going to look shaggy-headed,and many are staying at home for the most part, except for laundry and grocery shopping. (We are doing the same.) Churches are closed except for going on TV with only a few people present. The same thing is happening with talk shows on TV. We are all praying for the hospital workers, nurses, & doctors who are on the front lines of this covid-19 pandemic. We also hope the banks & credit unions can continue to furnish change to those who need it.
Grocery workers are especially vulnerable as are truck and delivery drivers. May we all stay safe as possible.

It's time that the working class voter and others who supported Trump realize what kind of president is presiding over the White House. We were warned by many people that Trump is a con-man, a slum lord, and a "grifter"
who has been sued by his own contractors, and by students from his former university--among other things.
In addition,Trump has violated the emoluments clause, both foreign and domestic, in the constitution. The sooner he is voted out of office, the better.

Biden made a good choice for Veep candidate with Kamala Harris. We have been giving regularly to the Democratic campaign.
(Hopefully, the online people will reflect what I have given by snail mail. I hardly ever give money online.) Hope we will also make
gains in the House and the Senate this November. Keep on the good foot.

Trump, who was recently admitted to Walter Reed Hospital with COVID-19, went for a "joy ride" against medical advice.
Everyone who went with him now has to quarantine for two weeks, according to sources. There ought to be a way to override
a sick president's whims and give him a sedative to make him stay in bed for his own good and others.

Kamala Harris won the October 7th vice-presidential debate. Pence looked lame when that fly landed on his head and stayed there during one
of Pence's lame lying answers. Harris refused to be lectured or hectored by Pence's lame hang-dog comments.

Joe Biden won the first debate with Donald Trump. At times, it was hard to hear Biden's answers during Trump's shouted interruptions.
Biden kept his composure for the most part on September 29th. On this second debate, the moderator had the ability to mute the mike,
in order to give candidates uninterrupted speech. I believe that Biden also won the second and final debate against Trump. See below.

Joe Biden didn't let Trump fluster him about the lying comments about his son, Hunter, and kept the focus on the issues. Trump only interrupted
about 16 times during the second debate during the discussion period. The moderator was better at keeping Trump down to a dull roar.

Biden kept hammering Trump about his performance during the pandemic emergency when the questions came up. Biden also countered Trump's
bald faced comment about "doing more for blacks since Lincoln" to paraphrase Trump. Biden made the facetious comment that Trump thought he
WAS Lincoln. Then Trump had to go on the defensive and "correct" Biden. In response, Biden, to paraphrase, declared that Trump
fanned the flames of racism and hatred every chance he got during the protests against the killing of many black people by cops.

When Trump criticized Biden for his "inability to get things done in eight years", Biden countered that "most of the the time we had a republican do-nothing congress". Biden also answered questions more directly and honestly than Trump and debunked Trump's sneering at scientists and researchers.

Biden's final statement addressed the American people directly and answered the question about how he would deal with people who did not vote
for him if he won. Biden said he would be the president for all Americans and would have their best interests at heart. Trump did not bother to answer the question and just blathered on. Trump got cornered quite well, by Biden, earlier in discussions about Trump's lack of honesty and transparency about past tax returns. Biden had "released 21 years of tax returns."

As usual, during the second debate, Trump continued to blather old falsehoods and sneered at legitimate criticism of his incompetent policies. Biden championed clean air and water and the transitioning to carbon reduced industries-- not as highly dependent
on oil and gas. Biden said he favored "fracking" if the by-product pollution from it could be reduced.

Finally, Biden explained that his "Bidencare" would let people keep their private insurance, if desired, and people would
not be penalized for having prior disabilities and conditions. Biden felt that the Affordable Care Act could be salvaged and that Trump had no viable health plan to replace it.

Overall, I feel that this second version was easier to follow than the first "trainwreck" of a debate. To repeat, Biden, it is felt, was the winner of
both of the presidential debates.

Looks like Biden won the presidency with about 290 electoral college votes, not counting Georgia yet. Trump, as usual, is whining and not
conceding. It appears that there will be recounts in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Arizona and Georgia: all of which Biden has tentatively won.
Now, if Trump''s appointee at the GSA(General Services Administration) will relent and let Biden get his transition money, things will go more swimmingly.
By this time, in 2016, Obama had already directed his GSA to transition the Trump administration. What gives with the republicans? They really
are sore losers. :( There were four recounts in 2016 with a lot closer results than today. Trump didn't win the popular vote back then either.

I'm glad I'm ridin' with Biden and not in the dump with Trump. The sooner Trump's whiny, hateful, bloviating ass is out, the sooner the country can
get back better from the pandemic and heal the wounds of the last four years. We need to shake hands and accept one another's differences.
Just like the old saying "Different strokes for different follks..." but we all want to head in a healthful sustainable direction. :)

Latest news has Biden winning in Georgia. That means that Biden now has 306 electoral votes--the same amount that Trump won with in 2016.
Moreover, Biden has won five million more popular votes than Trump and more than any other presidential candidate. The popular votes could go up after all the votes are counted and certified everywhere. Biden won Arizona just the other day.

Another thing, Pennsylvania will NOT have to have a recount because Biden's margin of victory is too high. So, tentatively that leaves three states that will have recounts. Trump's unfounded suits for "voter fraud" have been dismissed right and left.
So, after all states are certified, by December 11th, the results will be official. Then, the electoral college will meet on December 14th. By January 6th, after the new year, we will have the results.

After which, on January 20, 2021, Biden/Harris will be sworn in as President and Vice-President, respectively.

Finally, the two Georgia senate races runoff will be held on January 5th. Then, if Democrats win, the Senate will be all tied up. Harris, the new Veep will break the ties.

Ted Venetoulis, "Baltimore Sun" excerpt:
"Dear lame duck president: You’re fired (and you’re a loser) | READER COMMENTARY
FOR THE BALTIMORE SUN |
"NOV 13, 2020 AT 5:16 PM"

"Donald Trump did not win He is a lame duck president. He is a loser. He is a sore loser. He is a poor sport. He is in debt. He is being sued. He is likely headed for civil court and criminal court. In a few weeks, he will be a private citizen. He will pay his own legal fees. He will not have executive immunity. He will not be commander-in-chief. No nuclear code. No Air Force One. No Kennedy Center box. No car caravans clearing traffic. No lobbyists paying for the privilege of sucking up."

"He will not sit behind the Resolute desk in the Oval Office. He will no longer show off executive orders. His name will no longer be on stimulus checks. He will no longer throw paper towels at Puerto Ricans, fire dedicated civil servants, insult patriots, withdraw from treaties. Rupert Murdoch will dump him, and he will not get a Nobel Prize (“Trump’s silent public outing belies a White House in tumult,” Nov. 12).".../quote

Trump has lost more than 50 bogus court cases about "voter fraud". In addition he has lost three (count 'em) cases for the US Supreme Court wouldn't hear them. The Texas AG case was the worst loss. The Texas AG tried to overturn voting in four battleground states. In spite of the pile on by 17 states and 100 members of Congress, the U S. Supreme Court told them they "could stick it in their collective ear".

One last ditch attempt may happen during the counting of the electoral college votes by the Vice President on January 6. Hopefully, it will not even be attempted. Seven states sent in bogus electors, even though real electors were certified by the electoral college already in these states.
No one in their right mind would throw out duly certified electors for uncertified and illegal ones. Who would approve that? No one. Merry Christmas and a happy January 20th with Biden/Harris!

Rioters breached the US Capitol Building, as incited by Trump and those Congressional deniers of the electoral college vote. It took four hours for police to clear the capitol of the rioters and thugs. The mob broke windows and entered the halls and chambers of Congress and vandalized offices. The mob also fought with police.

After the Capitol building was cleared, the Congress came out of hiding and reconvened to count the electoral college vote. The final vote was
tallied and announced by the Vice President as 306 electoral votes for Biden and 232 votes for Trump. The final action was around 3:40 am this morning or January 7th. At least 52 people were arrested with more to come. Four people died and 14 police were injured.

Since January 20th, when Biden and Harris got inaugurated, the world is starting to return to the new normal. The new stimlus checks bill helped out many Americans including my daughter. Around 400 rioters have been indicted since the breach of the capitol building and many are being held without bond. I hope they throw the book at these thugs and insure that this type thing never happens again anywhere in our country.

It is time that the country recovers from the "Trump era" ; moreover, may it never come back again.
We must get President Biden's legislation passed without bi-partisan support, if need be, and get our water systems, highways and bridges repaired and/or replaced. This includes our locks and canals needing building next to dams so that barges & shipping may run more smoothly.

If needed, we must keep the increased police presence and national guard helping in DC and various state capitals so that extremists can't repeat
anything like what happened in Michigan and DC. I think the razor wire and walls need to stay put around the DC capitol building.

Well said, Steve! All the harm DJT put upon not only our Nation but our friendly allies.

How his supporters have the audacity to serve him. They should be put in prison for defending DJT as if he was an icon that all should bow to. Not only has DJT started weakening the venerable Constitution that has made our Country what it is and surely will continue being that Beacon on the Hill.
