spring and the world is mud-luscious
no wait that's the first line of a ee cummings piece
and my azaleas are dead dead dead, the
rhododendron looks like it's about to keel over,
no luscious here other than between my ears
where there's a lot of rain swimming around,
it seems, my dream world's more of an in between
world, in between seasons and dimensions,
suspended in animated reinventions,
ahhh but the jonquils are in bloom
but people are talkin' bout doom's day
and i don't care what they say,
i'll plant new flowering greens
and spring will resurrect, no noose
around my neck, time to get back into
the life walk, talkin' ain't gonna do it,
gonna renew it, that livin' lovin' feeling,
stealin' away the day the way a thief steals,
takin' every last minute by the throat, opening
up the notes, singin' it out until all doubt is gone
'cause this is spring and lord above,
spring is meant for love and i love
this bloomin' time of year!

do not fear, i will plant the garden
anew to see us through, sistas, brothers,
spring ain't gonna fail ya!
we'll just dig some holes for
some new azaleas!

flesh melon hash
smash mish mush splash
split felt rim
hat fat data batch

she was as she was
because a mismatch
bespotted that catch
she does what she does

all of a abashed
wash
she was
oh how she was
I don't think 'Therefore, I am.' Therefore, I am.

fences
borders
flowers
cities
countries
desires
expectations
needs
cloud over
walls
yet
the ivy
finds its way.

flying on tomorrow?

Tree blossoms are coming
Alive around here
In the March breeze,
As we eat our baguette & cheese
With a little turkey baloney...
Sipping a little "brisk" tea--

Breeze wafts the smell of
Honeysuckle & wisteria,
Clouds come by in shapes
of pink cotton candy
At sunrise,
We are suprised at
All the warm air down this way
Breaking records at 85 degrees farenheit,
Only going down in the sixties at night...

solstice day
on the street in front of the alamo
music on the plaza
college pep band for the women's basketball tournament
throws an impromptu for the tourists

the sky so blue
blown blue after a monster storm crossed over into texas
from phar lepht to san antone
but today I can breathe
breathe free and clear
every bit of allergens and pollution blown to Arkansas
a blue blown blew northern
most days I can hardly breathe out my nose
it looks like corkscrew been broke so many times
karma sucker punches I don't need no more
"Jesus broke the wild horse in my heart"
I don't reach in my pocket for a knife anymore
been twenty years since I felt like that.

a day when tears started because I was overwhelmed by the sceene of all those people so peacefully listening to the music, the sky so blue, so clear the sunshine and last night at sunset, such a rare light a golden light I have maybe sceen three times in a life time,

my heart is beating
another spring
I feel like a pirate at 71
as If i Have got away with the treasure
good luck finding some poetry in this
I just like to write spontaneously
hopefully

today I saw the first golden tilo leaves of the year
(maybe they were there already a few days ago
but I saw them today)
& the thick morning mist
made me forget about clouds

vernal / autumnal
round the seasons
come and go
so quickly
one day slips away
and another season
I forgot about myself
for one quiet moment
The days run together
It was the vernal equinox yesterday
The storm blew blue the day before
just about sunset the long rays of the sun broke through the angry clouds.

time dilation
it was magic
it is still magic
March magic
an ill wind that blows no blues away

Indian Paint is every where after the storm
