First a little background:
I decided to learn to play the guitar last fall, and I also learned music theory and composition. I started putting music to some of the poems that I had written earlier and also writing entirely new compositions. The songs that I've written are simple because I am keeping within my ability and music knowledge. I also cannot sing. Every once in a while, I'll get through a phrase that isn't too bad, but the vocals are off most of the time.
I wrote the lyrics to this song in September 2002 after reading an article about people stuck on the top floors of the World Trade Center. I set it to music in May of this year. The video has the lyrics as I am singing them, and there are no images in the video.
Thank you for listening.
