doreen, it's almost time to publish your first virtual album. I'll be looking forward to it.

I thought that was what I just did right here with this post.

Any comments on the music itself?

Critique?

Remarks?

Slam it to your heart's content! I'd love to hear any and all comments.

Thanks!

I used to love Summertime. No just joking, that was so great. The bachbeethovenyours thing realy grabbed my attention. Sitting here like the thinker elbow on knee, feft hand at my temple holding smoking cigarette. You notice I called it a thing, that is all it is to me, not idea what you were doing musicaly, just the beautiful noise, I wish i could loop it tonight, just the peice of music I was looking for, needed a lulabye. LR is right, a hassle to download these one at a time, but I may be wrong if I could save them to my hard drive or something maybe I could create an album of your music for myself. The cd would be quicker to get, especialy if you could down load the whole thing in one shot. But i don't know much about band width. what would happen if a 100 people started doing downloads. Oh well you asked for it so there it was. sleepy time too much fun almost. Suppose to be at work at seven am, maybe. I am pretty much self employed and my boss is so got dam lazy. I may have to fire myself. Thanks for the lullabye wish I could download it.

Thanks for listening, Jack!

That's me playing piano on Summertime... I would like to re-record it because I'd like the flute intro to be on the beat of the notes... otherwise, i loved the flute accompaniment... but I've been playing that for years and it's got to be boom boom boom boom boom in my ears or it doesn't work quite and maybe I'm no vocalist but I'm singing up a storm over here and I thank Clay for all his enthusiasm for my work and for helping me put the tunes together because there are many more but I just listened to the set myself and I'm proud of it.

I'm just an amatuer, a hack, maybe, but I'm composing some work I'm quite proud of. Pride is supposed to be a sin or something. I don't believe in sin.

I worked hard and I'm happy with my efforts, though I want to re-record each and every one of these to make them better! LOL!

Whatever,.... they are what they are and this is my work and thank you

ps... the bach, beethoven, peri thing was slices of pieces combined by those two masters with my improv and composition mixed in... it was fun and i'm glad you heard me because i was feeling for quite some time like i was the only person hearing me and although i know my work needs fine tuning, i feel like i'm making new music that other's haven't made before and it's all my own and i am grateful you have listened.....

thank you, good night I wish I could loop that bachbeethovenyours piece. Just a right tune for me tonight. Going to listen to it a couple more times. Yeah I grew up with the Nat King Cole version of summertime. It is from a musical, Porgy And Bess? Am I wrong. I may be having auditory hallucinations. You don't believe in sin? more power to you but I always like this line from john prine song
Give my feet to the footloose
Careless, fancy free
Give my knees to the needy
Don't pull that stuff on me
Hand me down my walking cane
It's a sin to tell a lie
Send my mouth way down south
And kiss my ass goodbye
just thinking about hurricaines tonight
Throw my brain in a hurricane

This whole conversation getting surreal. For some reason it just reminded me of that movie Five Easy Pieces. I liked it so much. Fond memories of the woman I saw it with. Speaking of movies and fingers. Have you ever heard of a Movie called The Five thousand Fingers of Dr T?

TIred of clicking going to bed with brandenberg 1 thru four, I could hear them another hundred times and still probably not be able to recognize it if I just happened to tune it in on a radio. I got a head like a cat, when it comes to music.

edited a couple times

geez louise we just passed each other, you posting to me and me editing a post to you. Yeah I liked it a lot dor. Don't let that go to yur head, :) consider the source. You be one of my favorite piano hackers. sincerely. check out the one above. going with the cd of brandenburg concerto for my morning maniac got to sleep fast music.

good night amiga, yes the power of myth, Joe Campbell. I was listening to the audio tapes of the Illiad use them to get to sleep fast. Achilles and Hector, Athene tricked him, poor hector. The guy narrating the tapes did a fifteen minute introduction about the eleventh century (BCE) in Asia minor. well anyway he said the Asiatics could not understand why the Greeks would mount this great military expedition for the sake of one Lacedemonian girl, they (the Trojans) would not have bothered. Not sure what that says about women and the western tradition. Just an interesting factoid.

Bogey and Bacall
Bogey spends lost weekend at beach
Bacall is gone, bogey is alone
no more
running naked in the surf,
but still there are still foot prints of her in the sand
he follows listening to the whispering murmuring sea.

you paint me pictures of sounds and words
nice music for the beach
Padre Island no place to be now
after labor day
just going to head out the door spend a week at the beach,

ahh LR that is, do you know what I meant about enjoying imperfections, I love music that rushes at me like a blur, but doreen makes me think about what I am listening too. What's wrong with hacking? This from some one who is clueless about music.

I´m listening to your takeme composition. It´s beautiful. Like little musicians playing in a caja de música with cansancio, esperanza, miedo, gravedad y levedad, todo junto. It sounds like there are two players. I´ll listen to the others in the week. (My parlantes work well now, but -it´s incredible- I have an interference with a folk-radio...!)

Thank you so much for listening, Arcadia! I am happy you are enjoying my music!

I had to look the above up on a translation site online...

It said it meant,

"box of music with fatigue, hope, fear, gravity and the slightness, all together"

Wow! If that's really what it means, I'm totally awed by this phrasing.... so poetic.... I am grateful for your ears and kind words!

(If it really means something like "sounds like you're tired, have no hope and are afraid," ;).... then, well, hahahaa.... that's ok... you've got good ears to hear all that in it. I am afraid, tired, and have little hope lately but I'm just rambling and trying to be funny. *sigh*)

Seriously, you're a dear for listening and I appreciate you taking the time to do so!
