It sounds nice. But the problem I have with it is that all of those music samples are played by someone else. See? Stilltrucking picked up on it right away. Is it cheating? No, not really. But I believe you have so much talent, I'd rather see you using it to create something without the samples by other people.

How about making your own samples and using them? Create some drum tracks and bass tracks. Create some guitar tracks. Give them all names and mix them up together. As one of your biggest fans, I hope you take my critique as intended. I offer it because I CARE and I respect your work. This is not in keeping with the quality and natural style you usually share. :)

he's using a program that has pre-recorded samples and then blending them together and adding flute to it. I love his music but I'd rather hear him playing all the instruments or jamming with real people rather than mixing samples like that.

I was listening to some long haired classical conductor on a radio show. He said recorded music is an abomination. Geez, we got people listening to music on cell phones. I have not killed anyone yet, but I come close when I was locked up in that clinic for two weeks and everybody had got dam ringtones on their cell phones.

Dam ranting

It ain't that I picked up on it Doreen. I liked it. I liked it a lot. I like how he wove the flute around the guitar. This is all over my head. Don't forget who you are talking to here. I don't know jacksh*t about music. I just enjoy the noise it makes.

I went through this last week with my producer.

I told him that I felt like I was Jackson Pollack painting my the numbers.

He said, 'nonsense' that is just another instrument, You just need to learn to work it the same way you learned to work the saxophone. Just because you didn't invent the C chord doesn't mean you can't use it in a piece of music.

The loops and samples are much like building something with legos. The building blocks are there, but you have to arrange them in a sensible or appealing way.

I think the addition of real instruments is the key to using the robots effectively.

It is my fondest wish to hear you and jitterbug jam sometime. I am hoping and praying I make it east this spring. I would call you from the valley and tell you I will be in DC in four hours and I have a quart of hillbilly holy water in my sadle bag. jitterbug with the forarms of Popye the sailor from years of turning wrenches, his knuckles busted, tendons cut, but he keeps on picking.

He does a lot of jaming with himself these days cause we are all getting up in years and his musician friends are going fast and way too young.

Not to change the subject but I have no idea what the hell is going on. I think it is kind of ironic that we had these personal discussions after the string on on the Ask the Biotch.

thanks for the music.
