new mp3s by the Dream & Shadow Huntsman Group

Post by Marksman45 » December 7th, 2004, 6:38 pm

I've got new Dream & Shadow Huntsman Group mp3s up for download. These are two tracks from the upcoming album "The Continued Adventures of the Dream & Shadow Huntsman Group." They are a new version of an old song, and a new song.

"Blackhat Leatherboot Zombi Jamboree"

Moss an' mold an' lashin' crows
runnin' through the Neverwood
Took up with a shovelhead,
gonna call a spade a spade she said
gonna build a new tree,
gonna sink 'im in the sea.
Blackhatleatherbootzombijamboree,
Blackhatleatherbootzombijamboree
A spade A spade, gon' dig a grave
Gonna find a way, gonna light the hay
Fall an' eat the livin' soil,
break on through that mortal coil
well Bones on fiddle, bone and fiddle
jackbone cross, life's old riddle
Fall in the middle, they're a-callin' for me
at the Blackhatleatherbootzombijamboree,
Blackhatleatherbootzombijamboree
Well break a string, and sing it loud
Jim called thunder down from a cloud
The sky is blastin' shaded rhapsodies,
Ebon, Ebon, bolden bloom
Fiiire trumpet, lawless room
Gate the steam into your brain,
shadow blooms in ghostly rain
Dancin' in the cornfield,
callin' up some shadowthing
at the Blackhatleatherbootzombijamboree,
Blackhatleatherbootzombijamboree

Well baby won't you come on down with me
t'the Blackhatleatherbootzombijamboree

"Showdown"

Out there past the bridges,
beyond the carriages and kings
beyond the Yellow Mountains and the plains forever rolling,
Beyond the grandeur cities,
beyond the plastered dawn
Beyond the land where rivers flow and cities all are gone,
There is a bleakness, an iron bleakness,
where the shadows forge their craft.

When the smoke is done, 'tis never long
before the workmen all go home
and they take their precious, precious time
to turn out all the lights
'cause they know what I know,
and I know what they
And I know what in the darkness lies
that lives not in the day.
I know what in the darkness lies
that lives not in the day.
And in the blackness, the iron blackness,
that falls when they all go home,
a creature rises with dripping fangs
to devour all that's lost.

He swallows the memories, wanderers,
wisdom of all things
(read about the wisdom lost,
it's a very sad thing indeed)
And he feeds just like a hollow shark
on all the beauty and the glore.

"I smell a mortal" the creature says
and turns around to me
With sharken jaw and slavering maw,
he says "What do you, fool?"

"Murderer of dreams," I shout,
"I've come to strike you dead!
I've come to slash you through-and-through
and drag away your head.
I've come to slash you through-and-through
and drag away your head."

"Foolish mortal!" the monster roars,
"You shall be my bread!
My teeth you'll ride,
down my throat you'll slide
and I'll spit back out your head!"

And so the battle did ensue
between the beast and I
My blade did gleam and his breath did steam
and he clawed out my two eyes
But I could still see him well enough
with nothing left but the other three
and I snapped off his left tooth
and stuck an arrow in his knee.
I snapped off his left tooth
and stuck an arrow in his knee.
Then he reared his head to strike me dead
and he bit off my left ear
but I stabbed down deep into his throat,
such gurgling wails to hear!
But he fought still with the strength of a bear
and he choked me and threw me by my hair
and he broke my arm and he crushed my foot
but I cut open his side
The blood ran down all black as soot
and flowed freely down his hide.
The blood ran down all black as soot
and flowed freely down his hide.
And the blood loss soon took its toll,
for he began to weakening
but my wounds and bones were feeling sore,
and my strength too was bleakening
And in one final charge,
a-howling the monster came
But I dodged him and stuck his gourd
and stabbed him in his brain.
I dodged him and stuck his gourd
and stabbed him in his brain.

So with my sword I sawed away
and soon severed his head.
The king huzzahed and said hooray
and marveled I had not fled
And I explained I have no fear of death
for I am already dead.

In my excitement, I uploaded really huge mp3s, way too huge to be downloaded in any reasonable amount of time. So I've replaced them now with much much smaller mp3s
