1968 Roosevelt Hotel where Camden Yards now stands. Was an old beat seven or ten story hotel.

In the basement with street level access was a small baltimore bar.

Hang out for ...

There was a bumper sticker sized sign on the mirror behind the bar.

It read:
"Have a nice trip"

Three peace band playing>piano, bass, flute

I can still almost hear them.

I think the flute is an amazing instrument. I am pretty sure it was a flute. She was a Student at the Peabody Conservatory up in Mt. Vernon Square.

It was a trip to sit out in the little park across from the Peabody on a nice day when they had the windows open and the music swirled around the square.

memories of mobtown
thanks for jogging my memory.
thanks for the music.

Experience the genius of Glenn Gould:

From the documentary :"The art of piano"

Enjoy!

Sidenote: Keep in mind that Glenn Gould was autistic.

Too many for me to list...I guess anyone with the last name of Coltrane.

Hey LR Jeff Healey is from here, he owns a blues bar in downtown Toronto, and is considered by the 3 jazz radio stations we have to be go to guy as the official local jazz historian....

Kurt,

Then I guess you know that he also plays trumpet

I think he plays guitar better but that's just me

I suppose jazz history is something that you can only do by braille

I would love to hear him live sometime
