ok mars

you scare me sometimes because you are so much like I was at your age. Totally full of yourself. I was just like you--too pretty, too smart and could succeed at anything.

I love you for this. But beware. Unfortunately, the only way to learn humility is to be humiliated. Prepare yourself for it. It will make you grow.

But you are right about ego being necessary for an effective creative act.

I can't think of a single thing that could humiliate me; I've made a fool of myself plenty of times (I treasure oppurtunities to make a fool of myself), but as for being <i>humiliated</i>, I can't even imagine a situation

but that probably just means it'll be <i>really</i> bad

The thing for everyone to do is to have their egos surgically removed and have them donated to science!!!! I already did it myself and I feel so much better because of it!!!!
