John Legend. He just dropped his 2nd album "Once Again" I play it out. I dig his voice and his simple tracks. A lot of piano. It sounds really classic. Like old school R&B.

I've had an old JB's funk riff stuck inside my cortex.... it keeps bumpin' thru, over and over. Normally I'd be annoyed by this sort of thing, but it's a groove..

Which TGOS did you have going???? There's a radio show here in Madison that I listen to just about all the time where it uses his music as background. It's called The Mel & Floyd show!!!! Here's the link to it. http://www.wort-fm.org/schedule/melfloyd.htm

"Same Beat, Pt. 1".... turned up on one of my forgotten mix tapes.

from the CD, "Pass the Peas: Best of the JB's"....

mostly the band on that disc, not so much TGOS himself...

may be the perfect storm...

House of suffering.... by the bad brains, outta DC, circa '80s.

"In this house of suffering, i gotta let some joy in.
i hear that freedom will win. oh where, oh where can jah love be now?
it's here, it's here in the underground, inside the hearts of your own children. In this house of suffering, I spiritualogic grin, in, one-way grace is my friend. to conquer doom and sin. and all the nations lying, while all our people crying. and they stop at nothing, nothing!"....
