Taper's notes:
Comments: Pretty good recording from the first night of Macca's stop in Chicago. This was recorded side stage about 15 rows up; the audience was surprisingly courteous (I suppose that's what you get for a $280 ticket price!) and the recording is pretty well balanced. Setlist (and between-song stories) is the same as all other shows from the tour that I know of. This show does not have the "Foxy Lady" jam at the end of "Let Me Roll It." It's a very listenable recording with almost no crowd interference -- I'd probably rate it 8/10; better than the Atlanta show recently posted on DaD, but not as good as the Phillys.

Other shows from the tour have compressed to about 1GB, but for some reason this one is less than 700 mb. FLAC did a very efficient job here -- the entire show is in fact included on this torrent.

last saturday it was the first time I saw and listen Manu Chao en vivo. I remember his music from times of Mano Negra, more than ten years ago. Great time.

brandenberg number two, looud on two different boom boxes one to each port one to starboard.

chasing the horrors of the day a way, or was it yesterday, not to day for sure

hypnonorcotic

Brandenberg may have never heard it, no proof that he did. Too bad I bet he paid a bundle to Bach for dem.

yeah it is hard for me to get out today, blue northern waiting for me out the door. How bad do I really want those cigarettes, I could listen too tom waits instead.

I hope this answered your question. This was the short answer. The long answer would be like , anything, If you would have asked me the other night I would have said the Lawrence Welk Chistmas special

firsty,

I noticed Horton Heat on your list above.
I know the Rev. Horton Heat (Jim Heath)
I used to live in the same house with Jim Wallace, the bass player.
They rehearsed there occasionally. I wrote a couple of tunes for them.

The last time I saw them was at a birthday party in Dallas for our common friend Jerry Haynes (Mr. Peppermint). They rocked the house. It's the loudest rock-a-billy in the history of music.
