We saw Delbert live at a concert several years ago. He has a powerful back-up group and his performance was excellent. The old fart has been around for a long time. Don Imus had him on his show often... him and Dwight Yoakum, but not at the same time.
Youtube has a great song of Delbert's : "When Rita Leaves..." but the video is not him at all... just this great song that he sings while pics flash across the screen.

yeah... one of my favorite songs by him, too, Cecil! Glad you got to see him. I'd love to see him live one day.
