I read about them in the recent issue of The Onion. Decided to check them out on YouTube and was blown away. By the shear power of the voice of lead singer Beth Ditto. This song that they're doing is called "Standing In The Way Of Control". It was written by Ditto as her response to Bush's ban on gay marriage.
