Studio8 - Uniting the Arts

Californication is without a doubt in the top 3 of my current favorite shows, (all of which are Showtime original Series). It stars David Duchovnny as A disillusioned writer trying to find his way in LA whilst bedding numerous women, fighting for the love of his life and baby mama, Karen, and raise his pubescent daughter. It's funny, well written, and just terribly entertaining. This is a scene starring two of the central character, Hank's agent Charlie, talking to his wife as she is giving a waxing to a pornstar.

Oh yeah, I remember that scene. Managed to sneak a few looks as my roommate watched. Funny how it all turned out considering that conversation now that I think about it. It's a very well written show indeed, though a little dark, considering you're rooting for very dysfunctional people to win the supposed prize of success of living (fleeting that it is). I guess that's what makes it win, because it feels real.
