Denial

Been a while since I've submitted anything here. I just can't seem to organize my time well. Anybody have any adderall for me?

In the friends, family and others who helped me rate my songs, this is #3. A little help from Neil Young probably doesn't hurt.

I've searched for this one and it seems I haven't posted it yet.

It's from my CD Young Man (look at my life). I got permission, but it's still a bit of a ripoff, isn't it?

I was around when they crawled on the ground
in the mud and the blood of the jungle.
You better obey and stay out of our way
this old giant is ready to rumble.

We came from the west thinking we was the best
and we bet 58,000 kids.
We weren’t so aloof when we jumped on the roofs
and we left hangin’ on to the skids.

A little time passed when Iran kicked our ass
as they held diplomats in their prison.
After 444, not another day more,
was a deal with the devil that freed ‘em.

Lie after lie and some bombs from the sky
proved the world’s bully has trouble learnin’.
Deceiving and cheating the freak we was feeding
left crude oil on water burning.

The masses were pissed, they were hoping for this
on the day that the steel turned to powder.
The fate of that date helped to cultivate hate
and the hate couldn’t get any louder.

More time has passed, freedom fighters kick as,
while we ask, “What the hell are we doing?”
Reality’s died while the TV’s deciding
history ain’t what we’re reviewing.

It is what it is.
It is what it is.
I was there.
You were there, too.
Now I’m here
and I’m waitin’ for you!

I LOVE it! You're one of the most talented musicians and songwriters and producers I know. This is great, Michael!
