sly was bad ass.. i hear he still shows up out of the blue for a show (and sometimes doesn't finish the set)...

"there's a riot going on" (1971) and "fresh" (1973) are my two fave family stone records. "in time" is the killer opening track from the latter... completely captivated miles davis, i hear ...
