I saw her play four years ago. That was one of the best experiences in a show that I've ever seen in my life. Before the show I waited in back of the theater of where she was to play with my copy of "Howl" that I had brought along. I was reading it when Patti Smith walked by and noticed it. She smiled at me were as I return the compliment with the Buddhist gesture of thank you.

thank you patti fans, i have visions of a one-act play, an interpretation of the lyrics to 'land' from horses, an album that just can't get overplayed at our house.
