When I was 5 or 6 I was totally smitten by a book I discovered in our town library, a B&W picture book showing the various habitats to be found while following a stream. The text was spare and minimal, and the photos were all familiar because I knew of similar places near my home. I've long since forgotten the title and author, but the magical spell it cast on me is as strong as ever 60 years later.
Several years ago I decided I wanted to pay homage to it, using my own photos and text, and began assembling a slideshow in the image of The Book. It took several false starts over the past 2 years, and even now there are still a few rough spots, but this is as close to the finished product as I can get right now: http://youtu.be/KNTtzLj0L-Y
