I volunteered myself on thanksgiving day to do a radio show in the afternoon from 1pm-3. The theme of the show is "stuck in the 60's".
Throw me out a few tunes from the 60's that would be good to play while people are cooking turkeys and gettin drunk.......Help me plan my show! Something obscure, something people haven't heard in ages but still know all the words to...etc, etc.
This is gonna be fun!

If you could find

Tracy Nelson & Mother Earth

The Album "Living With the Animals"

I think this album was published in 1969.

Each and every cut on there is to die for!

I LOVED her... still do.... but this is like one of my favorite albums of all time.

I remember seeing her at Constitution Hall in 1971. She was 4' 9" tall or something like that and could stand half way across the stage from the mic and you could still hear her from the back row, clear as can be!

You're familiar with Tracy Nelson?

I'm thrilled! I've never seen this on CD. Just found it on Amazon... My vinyl copy is scratched from playing it over and over and over and I don't have a turntable any more anyway.... gonna buy it and record it for my iTunes play list. ;) ;)

Oooh, now you're talkin'.... Did someone say...Doors?

dig this little gem

recorded at The Matrix, March 10 1967 in beeeeeyouteeefullll San Francisco-
WARNING!! THE DOORS SONG IS H-E-A-V-Y. So, if you're trippin' too hard right now or if you got little kids around or grannies who might grab their chest when old Morrison cuts loose, save it for later. And if you're easily led away by musical/poetic fantasy have a friend who isn't high stay with you til you come down. No one here at Studio 8, especially me, wants you to run out and kill your father and "AAAAAAAAAAARGGGHH" your mama.

Uh huh...give that one a spin and get your Frisco Freak on...

Hmmm, somewhere in this mess I have the Bob Dylan & Janis Joplin duet doin' It Ain't Me Babe on stage in California...I'll see if I can put my paws on it cuz it doesn't get anymore '60s than that....

oh, Byrds? Ya need a little jingle jangle in your bingle bangle?
Well, Dr. Trash gots the oldie moldy gold exhumed right outta the groove yard for ya right here. And of course, it's live and in your wig, so turn it up loud and knock your lobes right between the speakers so ya dont miss a note:

All day. All night. All Month. All '60s.
