Driving in the car with my San Antonio Rose
I would turn the radio up when that song came on
She would turn the radio down
It was painful for her to listen too
She was lonely after Crazy Mike's death
All the lonely people
As if you read my mind or maybe it is a coincidence, in all my self pity for twenty six years, I never realized I was lonely too.
Twenty of those years it was not so bad
I was in my safe place
Sitting in a large car with a diesel OM to restoreth my soul
When I lost the road I thought I lost everything
When I almost lost my life
I realized how much I still had
I heard that song in my head just the other day.
strange coincidence

truck and arcadia,
thanks for listening.
Once I gave up writing or performing tunes
I figured that they were spells that conjured up the past
so, for a period I only did improv music that expressed the moment.
then I realized that some spells were good spells

There was a short-lived sci-fi series on TV, the name escapes me but the musicians were physicians.
I sometimes feel that writing is magic, as if I could write happy endings for the people I love.
As far as I can tell you have made that song your own. I like your version better than theirs. I kid you not.
I think mnaz is on to something, first we had the moral majority, now we have the moral monopoly.
And the precisous blood of Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzuuuuuuuuuuuuuussssssssssssssssss .
It gives me the willies the way some of those preachers on TV say His name. Sounds like a snake hissing
Talk about magic words
Remember Captain Marvel, SHAZAM.
How many times did I try to pronounce that right so I could have super powers

Clay don't mind me I know less about music than I do about women. I really liked it. I learned something about Rose that day she turned the radio down. I felt compassion for her. I did not learn the whole truth until years later. She had killed Crazy Mike, or that is how she felt. She had no choice. She had to protect her daughter. I wish I had the talent to cash in on my family.
