the little store had been there a long time- janet would not take pennies..she said 'i dont give em and i dont take em' long time ago in 1950 s tony told me about a tidal wave that came here and she lost her brothers and sisters and was holding on to the church steeple- no church here now...
flower farms- and kathy - in the flower biz, and luau biz for many years- seriously good food--get your hawaiian grub on there...every fabulous party has flowers and food, and music.dancing..
but this place has history- tony died, honey girl her lover, lives on. the flower farmers like it when the hippie kids come, because they work them hard- and they dont tell them there is tweakers in the night.so plenty disgruntled kids get the money stolen that the parents sent them here with, i met a clothing designer at the food bank- she was traveling thru and just is a free bird that hurt her foot dancing..all the rich kids come here, trust fund babies that think they can drink and act like all crazy and not get cracks- local boys dont like that white boy arrogance stuff- so they learn to walk softly or they get taxed. people have arguments over waves in the line up- which is not in surfer mag.my kids learned to fight here.so did i.but the sweetnes prevails. it is not really important that the rules are not anything but common respect and courtesy---however that changes when you add to much firewater= brings out the beast - or the spirits i am done with..just dont want to snuggle with that smell- it has been 12 years since my lips have burned with anything but passion and chili sauces, peppers and spices=no more of that other burn- it is always a let down, when i wake up and relaize i have done something very stupid and cannot fix it- the damage of yesterday- is still on this girl s horizon, but i can and do find the strength- to love in a different way- with a healthy smile and a loving heart-island life can teach you forgiveness- even if it takes some time to see who you really are....
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

I like the way it flows, kept reading straight on through, kind of kerouacian I think.

thanks for writing
you have a way of getting it all down 8)

I like what the buddhists say about forgiveness. "there is no one to blame"
I am not a Buddhist I just like their point of view.

pardon the ramble
