the road stretched out before her in a strange lil hippie girl outfit she pulled a knife on her step-father and mother and hit the door- but not before witnessing her real father- and all that that implied-SHE LEFT her comfort zone and went to see just what this world really had going on.. she knew they lied about sex drugs and rock and roll- what else were they keeping from her=she liked the strange little towns, the indian reservations, the gurus, the trendy mod squad new york city -want to be model and actress-alias prostitute-
she let things go on while she was above herself watching. the experience was more like a 3d mvie-once when someone called on the phone she said'call me when the sun goes down' that city never sleeps.
those crazy nights=those late night gangster nights'
sequins and seedy people telling you how great they are and lets talk about them some more-those people seem to be crawling out from under rocks lately-so abrupt,in a hurry and careless...jobless and confused this city and somehow held her in kong s hand and then given her to the best and safest place-she went to italy-the family there were so different than anything she knew- they dressed her proper-gave her nice shoes- she gave them grandchildren... hope was restored briefly...until the day she could no longer run away....when these muscles give way.. she will have to stop-spinning...

i seem to be able to REALLY WRITE when the theme is road- i do not get how it flow out like the fountain of youth as soon as i call it road- the spirits are leading me down this road--- ha ha ha

i like it best when, it seems to me, what becomes the subject of your expression surprises you - as if it was not where you intended to go when you started, not the destination you had in mind...the writing takes a surprising turn on you, and you, surprised as hell, accept the new direction and keep on going.
it's always good for me, as a reader, when this happens with you. Your pieces like that always flow - something has sparked you & you climb onboard and ride it through or out.

...not that well, Jana, it's just that i have kept up on your work so your words and things you've written have given me a "notion" of you ... in your writings there is motion & that motion causes ripples to run out from their source - some of those ripples get as far as me & i notice them Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.
