meditation scrabble

Post by winddance » February 18th, 2026, 9:33 pm

once or twice a week my hubby and I play scrabble.
we are very evenly matched, always 1 game up the next down. he can come up with bingos (playing all 7 tiles) like crazy but I play a better defense. we both are very good with fitting good words where they make the most points. pretty even.
but
he is a very slow player and I am stuck with time on my hands.
so came the invention of meditation scrabble.
when he takes his turn I get in a very comfortable position
do a total body relaxation and begin down the road......
slow breaths, deeper I go
most times he gets a word before I am in my place
and have to draw back to take my turn
back and forth
you might think this would be an irritation
but going to the edge and pulling back
is more like meditation foreplay
when the turn is long
the meditation state is finally reached
and it's especially fullfilling
almost as good as winning the game
I'd rather learn from one bird how to sing than teach 10,000 stars how not to dance.

I love this idea! I play scrabble online, rather fast. Timed games at ISC (internet scrabble club). I’m a scrabble addict . I love a real board and playing in person but I rarely do that bc I don’t know anyone in real life who plays.

I hate waiting and waiting for the other player to play. That’s why I like the timer games, like they do with tournament play.

BUT if you have to wait, what a grand idea you came up with!!! Meditation Scrabble! Dig it! I love that!
