My Mind

Post by Artguy » April 4th, 2011, 2:38 pm

Today the sun was shining with spring warmth and red mustang with top down purring to be let loose...my pick up truck sad and grimed with winters' death trees budding ready to paint green their black branches winters' bile trickles down sewer grates to slake the rats' thirst feel like smokin a late night joint letting ink run the river in the back of my weary mind I pray for the end of prayer so ignorance can drown in it's own blood when will the poets again gather over great bowls of 3am chinatown soup howl in the galleries die in the gutters of blue window bungalows I lost my mind today looked under the couch cushions all I found was a nickel and some popcorn thought maybe the cat stole it and hid it under a carpet but it's not there either have you seen my mind cook it stew it with turnips and a chewed dogs' bone let it seep in a human stew let it run the sewer grate river find it's way to radioactive oceans let it glow.....

I think I did. It is in the closet in my guest room waiting to be hung but it is odd sized and I am not sure how to hang it. It glows at night and whispers in my ear. I don't think it would make good soup, too much fiber although it may make you shit a lot. Your mind is my mind I think, we have a shared mind, mind you. Your and my mind do dances, pirouetting and a dos si do, a reel and polka. I think my dog likes your mind, he howls at it when it sings, a like minded being. It wants to be hung, I know, like a bastard from a yard iron on a sailing ship. I could walk the plank with it or seal the hole in the broken window but it wants to be hung. No cat here, the dog would eat the cat if he could. Can I borrow a nickel or a piece of popcorn? How do you hang such a thing?
