she had eaten enough apples to choke a buffalo- and she was still standing- that man from the traveling ships= vega - he was the most beautiful man she had ever seen, he was a medicine person traveling by navigation accross the world- with many others- she watched in awe when they left the bay-like some old hawiian story she was alive in some other time-but she had to leave- the rock had healed her= they say- 'afterwards, you should leave .....or it might come back'- a white woman with two children in jail told her that-the spirits had already told her she had a year- she didnt know what that meant then- but it was clear now- the landlady starts getting all crazy and all the remaining things that need to be done before leaving, get done- chile, peru- portland- i what order- ok - she slips thru the fingers of the vultures once again.clawing at her back - she was free-free to go and love anyone and anywhere she wanted to go- carrying other s upward- tend the seeds
