. After sitting through an old movie and wandering aimlessly around for a couple hours he decided just to head back to Jenna and Valdies building and wait for them to get home. Jenna was the first to arrive so they went inside, put on some tunes and sparked a bowl, which they both felt they needed badly. After just kicking back for a while and letting the music wash over him, he heard a soft voice that sounded as if it was coming from miles away.
-Lynch, Lyyynnnccchhho, Hey wake up man I want to talk to you…HEY! WAKE UP!
- Wha? Oh, Jenna, yeah, what’s up?
- What you talking about last night, what did you call em’ a strange omnipotent father figure? Is that how you see god? A random distribution of punishment for breaking
unverifiable laws?
- No, no this so called god that Christianity gives us is just mankind’s brutal masochistic streak manifesting itself. A way to deal with the unknown and to try to make others as much like yourself as possible. Any god that gets their kicks off control is either a creation of man or at least one of the lesser of transdimensional beings, if you happen to believe in such things. It’s much, much too complicated to get into now. Just remember there is some truth in all religions but no one is right, Jesus spoke true when he said the kingdom of heaven is within, so was Buddha for that matter. Quite a few similarities there actually, Christianity has just come further from the source then Buddhism has so it’s lost a lot of its power.
- Whoa, transdimensional beings? You mean like aliens, UFO’s that kind of stuff?
- No, no some believe that we are only one of many dimensions, most of which are beyond our powers of perception. Most people see only the very smallest amount in the visible spectrum others are born with more of an ability to connect; their brains have more switches turned on. The rest of us have to rely on some other means. Faith, meditation, breathing exercises, drugs, all of them are helpful but one more so then all the rest combined.
He sat back and took a long drag off his pipe, held it for a bit, then slowly exhaled the divine smoke. He could feel the stress and anxiety of the day flow away with it. THC and proper breathing did it every time. Hell of a lot better then alcohol, that just made him sloppy and mad. Except the Port of course, those sweet Portugal grapes damn treat every time. Wonder if they could brew marijuana, like a malt liquor or something. Could use a drink, mouth all dry what’s in the bottle? Bah! Damn that cheep scotch I picked up last. Damn those Wiley Scotsmen. Every time. Rather have an ice cold water right now. Damn! A spot of port would be good too. Chose fucking scotch, ah well, live with our decisions.
- Drugs are of course the fastest rout
I could so get this chick if I wanted, just like I got, give out, ahh Valdie seems cool, let him hold on to her till she relives how incredible she is. Lucky bastered on her road. Will meet again if meant to be. Enjoy the time here while it lasts. Not that long to stay, got to getgoingwise.
- Not to mention the one that takes the least amount of effort and shows the “Truth”
most readily. Unfortunately these “truths” are only relative and even then fleeting.
Man this is good stuff, should talk stuff out more often. Making sense? She doesn’t care just grooving on the flow anyway. When’s Valdie get home? Soon hopefully running out of steam. Don’t even know what I said fleeting truth or something, should keep a journal read when sober, make any sense? Maybe.
- Drugs help turn on some of the switches that where dark but most only turn then on
only temporarily. Only LSD and the like seem to have any lasting positive effect.
My first time like all the lights suddenly coming on, much illuminated. Learned lots that summer, no more melancholy tears or stupid teen angst. Path suddenly clear, could finally SEE the world around me not just what’s there. Then Saber with his crazy Buddha Zen talk, No-thing not no-thing.
- Meditation of course is the best way I know to achieve any lasting idea of truth.
Many, many hours spent sitting quietly doing nothing and focusing mind.
The Buddhists have it down there. Tranquility and peace.
Wrap it up now to long winded, still need some water, Damn! mouths all dry. Leave it at that more then enough for now, tiring work, all these arguments. Probably be interested in Native Americans more, seems the type. Tomorrow if there’s a chance, cant get to close might make a bad decision and hurt instead of help. Tomorrow, yeah.
- Anyway, I need some water after all that what do you say? Got any mugs? I’ll
make some tea if you like.
- Whauh? Oh yeah tea, sure come on.
As they got up to head into the kitchen they heard the sound of a key grinding in the front lock.
- Valdies home
damn.

Leave the letter that never begins to go find the latter that ever comes to end, written in smoke and blurred by mist and signed of solitude, sealed of night.
